correct, immunity does not end when you stop producing antibodies.

You'll be good for many years regardless of what the antibody test says.

I still have antibodies from a June 2020 infection. This SARS-COV2 is pretty much tracking just like the original SARS and MERS. Where immunity ends up being measured in years, not months or weeks. So I fully expect my antibodies to be here a while longer.

Speaking of the original SARS and the later MERS, how come we didn't need vaxing against them? Because typically corona viruses don't last long in the human population before they mutate themselves out of existence. Just like SARS1 and MERS did. Go ahead, read up on it. We will never see them again. Corona viruses are hit and run. They come out of the animal kingdom, cause a stir, and then dissipate.

Also, have you ever wondered if we still have antibodies for measles, mumps, and rubella? Or anything else that we have possibly been vaxed for? Here is a hint... we don't. Someone mentioned T cells earlier and they must remember their high school biology because they hit the nail on the head.

Then did you really have covid?

Maybe, maybe not. The antibodies diminish over time; however, if you've beaten COVID once, you'll beat it even easier the 2nd time. When COVID shows up again, the immune system says "ah, I remember you, a-hole", then proceeds to kick its arse a second time with a quickness.

Go give blood. They do a free antibody test when you do. Win/win.

Had Covid in September of 2020, and tested positive for antibodies in April and August of 2021. I'll be finding out in the next 48 hours if I'm eligible to donate plasma for infusions.

The absence or presence of antibodies is not an accurate measure of your long term immunity.

You’re currently immune from smallpox, and have no smallpox antibodies.

If I'm negative, I'm waiting for Novavax.

If you are healthy enough to wait, why take one at all? Are there "long term studies" as to long term effects of Novavax?

The question is, while a negative won't rule out exposure, it does increase the odds I haven't been exposed and makes it harder to spend $200 for the T test.

I am awaiting the results of my t detect test. I spent the week between Christmas 2019 and New Years in New York and was sick for a solid month after with headache, tiredness and clogged sinuses. This was when we thought that covid was just some obscure virus in Wuhan China.

Since then, I have worked in my dental practice continually, less the 6 weeks the LDH mandated we close to flatten the curve.

I have not felt sick (so no reason to get tested) the whole time working in my practice and I am curious to find out if that illness I had in January 2020 could have been covid.

Antibody testing for me, would be worthless at this point, but the T detect test might answer this question for me. I don't mind the expense.

Considering the push to get this vaccine plus the false positives, "cooked" data, I'd never trust the test for accurate results.
