You do realize that the people in charge of Iran are religious radicals that think they get 72 virgins if they die as martyrs don’t you?

How is it that we have fought against radical Islamic terrorist this long and you have not learned anything about the ideology these people believe in?

These people are crazy. They are willing to drive a car into a crowd of innocent people or walk into a building and shoot as many people in sight before someone can kill them. They are willing to pack a car full of explosives or wear a vest full of explosives and then find the nearest crowd of people and detonate. You can’t trust these people with a box cutter and you think they should be trusted with nukes? Really?

Idgaf about their ideology, they are halfway around the world and not a threat to me in Louisiana. Let them get a shitty nook and try and use it, they will be instantly wiped off the face of the earth

Technology wins wars now not boots on the ground. It’s not 1945 anymore.

I think the bigger question is why we don’t seem to want to actually win any wars since WWII. We seem to get involved in wars then try to ‘negotiate’ which gives us results like Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Iran.

The bombing weakens everything. The infrastructure, communications' but most of all it weakens strength and morale of the military and civilian population causing them to turn on the current regime. That is the main reason.

Don't sign up for service is you are not willing to go to war.

Oh and by the way. I bet the Army vet that grew up in Texas would love to hear about how folks in Louisiana do not have to worry about terrorism since it just affects people halfway around the world. I bet he would love to hear all about it if he were still here above ground with us. He died on New Years Eve of 2024 after he drove to New Orleans and placed 2 IED’s on the street and then proceeded to ram his rented truck into a crowd of people killing 14 and injuring over 50 I think it was. He then got out of the truck and proceeded to start shooting until the cops finally killed him. The interesting thing about all of it was minutes before he done all of that he uploaded videos online swearing allegiance to ISIS. Too bad he is not here above ground with us right now. I’m sure he would love to hear all about how the good folks of Louisiana does not have to worry about terrorist attacks since they occur halfway around the world.

This war sure as heck was more important than Iraq and we were very much pot committed there.

This 100% needed to happen in some capacity and was a long time coming. Sometimes actual war is necessitated by the actions of others so should we shrink everytime a problem that directly affects us happens? We aren’t France.

No one (who is sane anyway) wants our guys to go to war but you’ll never achieve solid results without committing to the goal.

With that said, Trump has completely fricked this up for everyone with his loud mouth. Now he can’t escape what he caused without losing face. Well done Don
