They can't believe that we let San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle let homeless folks just live in the streets like wild animals

I'm in Aberdeen and am surprised at the level of Trump support as well. Mostly comes from the working guys; the guys getting their hands dirty on the line are pretty hard right.

Can't believe they gave up their guns.

Spent a few days in Queensland back in 2000. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Not surprising, been a while since I was there but I would imagine Perth is definitely pro Trump, Sydney likely not so much.

Last time I was in Perth I learned there were more Harley's there per-capita than any other place on earth, countless old MOPAR sleds still being driven around as well.

Lots and lots of oilfield and mine Baws there.

I’ve never understood how the Aussies became so liberal. It really doesn’t make sense for them to have gone the direction they have. My guess is a major lack of participation by conservative minded people.

I think we were headed that way here until Obama managed to piss us off so bad and then Trump came in to literally save us from going over the cliff.

Here we are three short years later and President Donald J. Trump has broken every liberal I know.

We’re winning this as long as we stick with what we are doing and bring as many like minded people as possible with us.

Because the vast majority of the population lives in large urban centers around the coast, predominately in the South East, and when I say majority I mean roughly 50% of the population in 3 cities on the SE coast.

Where are you in Australia?

When I lived and worked in Sydney, there were massive libtards but for the most part friends and co-workers were apolitical with me. I was in Sydney when 9/11 happened; there was a lot of support. I was also there when the 2003 invasion of Iraq happened; not so much support.

When I moved three hours south of Sydney to the Shoalhaven region, people were much more conservative. I enjoyed my time down there much more than my time in the city.

The parallels are the same. Urban areas are liberal, rural areas are conservative. Urban areas are diverse demographically; rural areas are vast majority white. Lots of Muslim and Chinese immigration to Australia; I’m talking entire suburbs where you can’t read the signs, followed by Eastern European, Greek, Indian, and Italian. People are tired of having to support the dole bludgers. The cracks in their health care were apparent when I was there; I don’t know where it is now. I know my FIL was on a year-long waiting list for a knee replacement. Haven’t been back there since 2005.

Up until The end of World War II, Australia had the “White Australia” policy, and only allowed immigration from Western Europe, North America, Sacandinavia, etc. After the war ended, they allowed in more Italians, Greeks, and Eastern Europeans escaping Communism. It was in the late 60’s and into the Whitman era of the early 70’s that the floodgates opened on Chinese and Muslim immigration.

You tell your Aussie associates that it's their fault, and to get off that penal island and move to California where they belong!

I was in Melbourne about a year ago and for the most part, there were not many Trump fans. The media definitely had a orange man bad feel to it.

Once out of the city, American politics didn’t really even pop up on the radar.

You find this all over most western democracies. Your average blue collar rural conservative in the midwest has far more in common with his counterpart in Bavaria than he does with his fellow american progressive that sniffs his own farts in Chicago or similar large urban area.

The rural conservative vs. urban progressive divide is growing, and it's growing in all major western democracies.

Many people believe in the old saying, “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”.

And you can find all the ones that ignore this on twitter.

I’m just reporting on what I saw with my own eyes. Look up the demographics on western Sydney suburbs like Bankstown, Punchbowl, Auburn, Lidcombe, and Cabrametta.

I’ll admit that I didn’t see nearly as much of the country as a whole. Never travelled further north than Newcastle, further inland than Parkes and Canberra, and south to Bateman’s Bay. I wasn’t there to travel anyway.

We went to GB & Ireland last year, and Spain through Greece this year. We were in London a week before the Baby Trump balloon was unveiled. The reception at every stop has been exactly as you state. EVERYBODY loves Trump.

The "big" protests in London were hilarious. The papers were running ads for protestors to band together, no matter the cause, so they could appear to have a large crowd protesting Trump's visit. They still only had a handful of degenerates, most of whom had no idea why they were even there
