Ukraine was actually part of the Soviet Union for a good chunk of my life. I was doing fine.

I have nothing but the best wishes for them to have great success in repelling and expelling the Russians but it doesn't affect me one way or the other.

shite, I’d have to be convinced to fight for the US at this point. Certainly ain’t going to war for Ukraine, and absolutely do not want another taxpayer dollar to be given to them.

My war was 35 years ago. I’m old man now. My fighting days are long over.

My son though is a young man, an infantryman to be specific. And you could add up every man, woman, and child in Ukraine, stack on every asset, both natural and manmade, contained within its borders, and that still would not warrant so much as a single hair on my son’s head.

And the same is true of all the other sons and daughters wearing the uniform of our armed forces.

Kind of silly question.

There are many who sympathize with Ukraine e but wouldn’t go fight for them.

Many who sympathize with Russia but wouldn’t fight for them.

And people who don’t give a frick who wins either way.

The amount of people who would actually risk their life for either side is minimal.

It's not a silly question if they are one of the war mongers on this forum who believe it's the responsibility of the US to support Ukraine no matter what the cost. If you're an abled bodied person who believes in the Ukrainian cause, gear up and get your arse out there.

Does Ukraine have or produce anything that we want? If it’s valuable enough then usually we will fight for it.

More silliness. I think Russia is the clear aggressor in this war and Ukraine has every right to defend their territory to the best of their ability. But I do t care enough to go fight for them and I’m not a huge fan of spending my tax dollars to help the either.

Why should I fight for Ukraine? The Ukrainian people need to fight this war themselves.

Agree.

The US has spilled enough blood and given a lot of treasure to preserve Western Europe, and what did they do? They allowed tens of millions of Middle East immigrants into their nations to assist in their destruction.

After spending 90% of my life hearing it called “The Ukraine” and “Kee-ehv” and now still adjusting to just hearing it called “Ukraine” and “Keeeve”……

I wish them well but I’m good focusing on things here at home in the U.S.A.

So far one upvote.

Self identify and make your case for with gearing up and heading to Ukraine or give the excuse of why you can't help preserve Ukraine's sovereignty.

Then gear up and help the Ukrainians stop the aggression. If this war isn't ended soon then I expect Trump is likely going to continue to provide great military equipment to Ukraine. Now is your chance to live out your Rambo fantasy.

No I don’t care about Ukraine enough to risk my life. Unless the price is right of course.

I think he’ll send our Air Force in to end personally
