Then you don’t understand our system of government and need to take a civics class.

Agreed. In order to vote you need show a real ID compliant driver's license or ID card or a federal ID (i.e. passport) and scan your fingerprints before being able to vote. I had to do all of that in order to take the USMLE exams and it took a grand total of less than 60 seconds per time.

If you are going to absentee vote, you have to should have to use a smart phone to scan your ID, take finger prints, and use facial recognition software before being able to request an absentee ballot. Then instead of mailing out ballots, you should be emailed instructions and a one time code to a website where again you have to provide a copy of your ID, fingerprints, and use facial recognition software before being able to vote. It is the 2020s now, the vast majority of our phones have facial recognition software and the ability to take our finger prints, and the # of people that cannot work a smart phone is decreasing daily either due to old people actually learning how to work their smart phones or old people dying off. So this might sound like a big deal but it really isn't.

Also absentee voting should only be for people that know they are not going to be able to vote in person in their district during the early voting period or election day.

Unfortunately, when the Democrats get in power you will get a national voting law and you definitely will not like it!

No they won't. They cannot amend the Constitution without a supermajority. Which neither side will ever get again.
The States decide how their citizens votes go to electing a President. They can do it however they want. Before the Civil War, most States legislature actually voted for the President on behalf of the State. We NEVER need a national voting law. EVER. It would open the door for corruption and constant changes...look at what the Dems want to do with a "national voter law." They want to get rid of the electoral college

Just let me vote online. I get a voter id that I use to login and vote. My vote is tied to an actual SSN that is verified to exist. The vote is counted instantly and recorded centrally, preventing anyone voting for me more than once.

Not sure why we are focused on ancient technology.

I agree 100%! Should be standardized voting laws. Federally mandated!

1. Register
2. Show up with ID
3. Vote
4. Leave

It really is that simple. If they standardized this it would eliminate so much opportunity for division and ways to rig the system.

I agree STANDARDIZED VOTER ELECTION LAWS! Should be a department that keeps up with Election logs, gets dead people off and knows where assitance is needed.

Because a bright 4th-grader could beat that system?

There would never again be an honest election with online voting. If you want Votie McVoteface elected President then do online voting.

A bright fourth grader can create new SSNs? A bright 4th grader can walk into a precinct and vote. And then another. And then another. And then those votes are tallied by random joes.

Louisiana has one of the most sophisticated and secure election systems in the country.

You are very naive if you don't see the security flaws of online voting. Every basement-dwelling hacker on the planet would try breaking it just for fun. Only need one.

Must show ID

In person voting or absentee only...no mail in voting

All states are congressional district electoral college no more winning take all states...states like California, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania shouldn’t have 1 or 2 cities dictating the entire states electoral votes and/or one section of a state like Northern Virginia shouldn’t as well...

It's not chaotic. If you want a national election system controlled by a handful of people a thousand miles away who could not care less about you then you'd better get started on changing the Constitution.

Federal court cases deciding constitutional state election laws because state courts can't is not chaotic? Okay.

It doesn't matter what law is put in place. The dems will move the goal posts to justify whatever agenda they want at the time. Legislating laws the correct way, is too much work for them. Takes too much time to get the votes to pass, etc...they'd rather just force it up to a judge that they've bought and paid for and have that judge just rule in their favor.....way easier for them. They do this with everything unfolding before our eyes.

Couldn't the state's technically not even have an election and just cast votes based on their state delegation.

Of their state constitution allowed that obviously. Point is, it's in no way a national election and the constitution doesn't call it such.
