This has nothing to do with Swalwell, per se. It's about eliminating a Democrat who will split the Dem vote. It's their strategy; they can't ask him to drop out so they have to force him out.

Let them fight
We just need Swalwell to go the full 12 rounds. ATP he is only dropping out for some life long financial security. Once his term is up, good chance he is done in Congress after this, too. He'll keep getting that pension, but I'm sure that's not enough for the rest of his life.

Would be interesting if someone were able to use this as a way to get the "keep it secret" Congressional protection fund to stop, as it was used to protect him from these allegations.

Any white male in the democrat party should know that they will be the first one pitched overboard in a crisis.

“ I am not exactly certain how the California governor‘s race works, so I could be way off, but from what I’m hearing and reading this could be a case of the Democrats not wanting Swalwell to split the democrat vote that might result in a Republican being elected as governor of California.”(quote MM).

Likely so. But it makes for the perfect dynamic for the DOJ to jump Swalwell and start twisting the screws. He’s like a crippled animal away from the herd; easy prey. Time to pounce.

They did it on a national level two years ago.

Democrats make it up as they go. Pesky rules are no impediment.

Suddenly the democrats got religion on this "believe every woman" thing. Like maybe the democrats are playing selective amnesia on this Swalwell scandal. A former Biden female staffer (Tara Reade) accused Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her. Whereupon a cloud of democrat MSM resources descended on this story. Miss Reade was forced to flee the country in fear for her life.

Now you tell me Adam "Pencil Neck" Schiff and Nancy "Insider Trading Queen" Pelosi and the democrat party is coming down on Swalwell for his alleged sexual assault.

Wow! Everywhere we turn we see democrat scandals unfolding.

You better put some ice on that (lip) - Bill Clinton to Juanita Broaddrick after biting her lip while raping her

Correct. They could have video of Swalwell raping a baby and they would circle the wagons with a very complaint media.

Why do they want to destroy this CCP plant now?

Exactly. They got internal polling bad for him and or they have been lobbied another candidate

The CCP, Xi visted and got red carpet and homeless clean-ups.

They don't want fang fangs stud. He was exposed and has bad poll numbers.

California uses a jungle primary. This primary includes D and R candidates. The top two vote getters then have a runoff. There are basically two republicans in the primary and a half a dozen democrats. The democrat vote is split so much, it leaves the republicans with the top two spots. Getting Swallwell out (I think he’s the leading Democrat right now) lowers the the denominator for the democrats which will allocate his support over fewer people, thus increasing their percentages.

This was also why the republicans were mad a Trump endorsing Steve Hilton so early. They were concerned the other republican in the race would have much of his support moved to Hilton, thus dropping him below a democrat.
