Honestly, I’ve been saying they should do this for years simply to remove themselves from any controversy involving govt funding. Libs don’t typically put their money where their mouth is. Let’s see how PP does on its own...

The fact that ANY organization can receive federal money and be allowed to give to ANY campaign/lobby is insane.

I thought Title X only made up 25% of the budget. So the title might be misleading correct?

I've said the same thing. When you look at the annual federal amount given, it seems like it would very easy to just raise that money privately - particularly if the cause is of such utmost importance as portrayed.

um, 25% of the budget was provided by 100% government funding.

100% of that funding has been removed.

So much for protecting women's health. If they cant get that sweet sweet abortion money they don't want anything to do with it

Well good, now they can try their hand at being a private org.

You do know PP does far more then that right? I mean if this was a stand for "morality" then you'd think the pressure would to just defund tax funded abortions. Nah instead it's to totally defund PP despite all the good that they do and no I'm not talking about abortions

Doesn't sound like it. They seem to feel that abortions are the only thing worth staying open. Their choice

I dont want my tax dollars to pay for abortions. It's against my religious beliefs. Make sense?

Stop stealing my money to support your ideologies. I shouldn't be forced to pay for abortions.

You miss the part where I said this should have been only about defunding tax paid abortions?

I'm frankly fine with abortions not being tax funded, what I'm not for is defunding everything else PP does which helps to control unwanted pregnancies and STDs

Planned parenthood donates millions to democrats ever year

Effectively funding them was always a slush fund paid for by taxpayers
