FDR was a lying fraudulent scumbag. One of the worst President's ever.

I'm not sure it's that so much as the INFLUENCE that social media grifters have in knowing what their audience WANTS to believe is true.
Here, people just accepted how this particular grifter on X lied about this being some big admission by CNN...which would be some great sign of progress for Trump.
It IS weird how angry people get at those who point out the grift, rather than being angry at the grifter. Probably 40% of the X posts that make it to PoliBoard fit this pattern: misleading red meat for the believers.

The answer is in your sentence.
Non-progressives.
I, for one, feel no shame at not being a progressive.

Exactly. I agree.
Don't you think he was ALSO the most INFLUENTIAL of the 20th Century? If not, which president was more influential in your opinion?

What's astonishing is that they so easily forget that (real) conservatives have been pointing out that the leftist populists have been doing that for decades.
It's not the people cutting off children's sex organs that is the problem, it's YOU for caring about it. To give one example.
Same thing. The grifting isn't the problem, the problem is YOU for caring about it.
I think every mirror in their houses must be covered up. Like vampires.
But, populists gonna populist. Left or right, doesn't matter.

I don't want the mainstream news to support Trump.. I just want them to be fair and honest about trump.. report on the bad shite he does, report on the good shite he does and stop hiding anything positive about anything he is doing
Posted on 10/5/26 at 11:50 am to Timeoday
Doubtful that they mean that the influence is positive.

You are arguing with people and/or Chinese bots who are equating influential with widely admired or huge popular approval numbers. Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were very influential. Doesn’t mean they were very positive for the world.
I do think looking back longterm, Trump’s Presidency as a whole, first and second terms, will be viewed overall as a positive for America hopefully as well for the world, depending on how Iran continues to play out.
But anyone who thinks CNN calling him “most influential” is the same as them having to admit he’s one of the greatest of all time has a single digit IQ. Even if he is one of the greatest, CNN will never admit that, or view such through their lens.

They are just quantifying the obvious with which NO ONE would disagree
I take issue with that.
Ronald Reagan bankrupted the U.S.S.R. and caused the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Basically he not only stopped the spread of communism in its tracks, he knocked it on its arse.
There's not even a global environment today for Trump to even have the possibility of having that kind of comparable influence. The U.S. has never faced a threat like the U.S.S.R. before or since.
And the reason that's so is Ronald Reagan.

They would just debate on whether or not Trump has been a POSITIVE influence as president
Are you stating an opinion that he isn't?
Or just commenting the debate could had?
Also, it must be considered that Trump still has 2ish years left as POTUS.

After seeing the responses and hate, I take back what I said. You're right all the way round.
Most people in this thread seriously don't seem to know the difference between "being considered influential" and "being considered popular or beneficial."
One last time. Saying someone is "influential" is a neutral statement. "Huey Long was very influential in Louisiana" isn't a statement of approval of Huey Long. It's a statement of obvious fact...as is saying that President Trump is the most influential president since FDR.

Not even close.
You must be under 40.
Those aren't even in the same zip code of threat.

30% isn't much off from midterm approvals of such bedrocks as Reagan, Clinton and Obama.
Polls are never, ever accurate

To add to the shameless grift of these bastards, this was NOT "BREAKING."
It aired two months ago on CNN.
No offense intended towards Timeoday, but these grifter X posts are a drag.

But President Donald J. Trump is different than those failures. His real approval rating, without the media distorting the numbers, is currently 75-83%.
