"C'mon man, I have no front teeth," she says with a smile. "How do you like me now"?

Like I’ve already said, the Republicans have a huge opportunity here if they just hold out until the right people (SNAP recipients) are affected by the shutdown. As someone said, that set of voters is the Dem base. LBJ made sure of it.

After the Dems give in and vote to reopen the government, reform SNAP in a big way.

At the 1:14 mark of the video she essentially 'fesses up to being a third generation recipient of government benefits programs - "...like myself, like my mother, like my grandmother..."

Therein lies the crux of the problem. It is a way of LIFE for too many of these people. The idea of rising above this and providing for themselves is a completely foreign idea to them.

eta: AND she has three children whom the rest of us need to feed because SHE sure as hell has no plans to do anything to provide for her family.

She can’t figure out what all these people and her are supposed to do now and not one even random thought was maybe we can go make some money.

We’re fricked

If you’re thinking it will motivate them to find work you are sorely mistaken. It will only motivate them to form a mob to come steal food from productive citizens.
EbT is much more about keeping the masses fat and placated as it is about “helping”.

Yeah at this point I want them to hold out forever. I mean most of us are armed at all times so I wish you luck trying to steal from people like me.

Get a job leaches.

Or like the work 20 hours a week requirement, lets add it is only available for 6 months a decade. Give the needy a short term hand, but not a way of life.

Also the food available for purchase should be nothing processed. Nothing in a box. Only flour, eggs, cheaper cuts of meat, vegetables and fruit. They dont have a job they have plenty of time to cook a meal for their 23 children from scratch.

Yeah we need to rip the bandaid off on this grift.

Nothing will get people off their lazy asses better than hunger.

Pay for your food like the rest of us do.

almost 30% of working age adults are on welfare. If they are able to work they should get a fricking job. If they can't find one then clean trash on the highways for your EBT

This bitch has been getting snap and wic with her young kids.

I have no sympathy. If the government was paying for my food I could save more.

I have very little problems with EBT for the very needy. However, the cost of the purchases should all be paid back by the users to the government.

She said “myself, my mother and my grandmother won’t get benifits”

Including her kids that’s four generations that are relying on food stamps. wtf how hard is it to work for what you need
