The sad and irritating part is that they think that if they can make up the right story to go along with the whining that they will "influence" someone to change their vote.

Gas prices aren't all
The k-shaped economy is a real issue.
Wages are still stagnant in many sectors (of high earners).
Affordability (especially mainline items like housing, automobiles, etc.) is a bigger issue than gas.
Inflation persists (increased by Iran but still high due in large part to Trump's Covid spending)
Our economy hasn't fallen into recession basically due to AI data center buildouts.
Deficit spending is still insane and ignoring that has put our debt at critical mass.
High treasury yields.
etc.

I just can't see the blue collar baw who loved Trump being fired up anymore to vote, but we'll see. Maybe culture war issues can get people to the polls.
