The other fellow was calling what the Palestinians did as evil. I agree. I also wanted to make the point that “God” commanded the same evil in the Bible.
The topic was the Jews, not Christians. It’s the same violence in the Old Testament though that is made infinitely worse in the New. God proclaims eternal hellfire as punishment. That’s new. Jesus will return to smash the unrighteous in his bloody winepress. I don’t see the Old Testament as any worse on violence than the New, personally.

So you don’t think society and culture has changed in the 2.5k to 3k years that has elapsed since most of those events occurred in the Old Testament that you use as examples? There was a time and place for it but it has long passed except in Islam. Your reference in the Quran is irrelevant to the discussion and is nothing more than a justification for its creation

Israel uses their scriptures to justify what they are doing in war but also to justify their existence. God gave them the land.

Yeah, I’m having a really hard time figuring out why the border wasn’t more protected by the idf or why the Israeli civilian who most have military training aren’t heavily armed esp those by the Gaza border
