Just remember, it's very hard for Israeli citizen to own firearms!
Even in a country surrounded by enemies, there were likely no armed civilians that could defend themselves.
Think of that when they come for your guns. Think of the millions of unknown illegals flooding the border. Think of the possibility that there are members of criminal organizations, radical religious sects and fanatic political parties (communists) that our "leaders" are allowing to infiltrate our country unchecked.
It's cultural suicide. Get your headout of your @#$%^. The politicians don't work for the citizens any more!!

The Golani Brigade is one of the more squared away conventional units and operates under North Command. Their sole responsibility is handling the terrain and such in northern Israel/Golan Heights.
The Hamas/Gaza is a much more asymmetric situation, so the appropriate forces are handling that.
The thing people need to understand about Israel is that it's tiny. North to south (say Haifa/Tiberias to Eilat) is only about a 5 hour drive. East to west (Tel Aviv to the Dead Sea) is 1.5-2 hours.
People/equipment can be repositioned fairly quickly.

Hezbollah is an actual threat. They’ve fought with Israel within the last decade or close to that and did some serious damage. They are fully supported by Iran. They won’t “win” but they are fully capable of forcing the IDF to put a lot of resources into the north to defend/attack.
