Is There the Possibility That the Penn Swimmer Is Doing This To Prove a Point?

Now that this thing is really picking up steam, I did a little research on what this person has done to in order to compete in the woman’s division. From what I’ve found, the NCAA apparently requires a biological male to take the appropriate hormone therapy for a year (and continue to take it while competing) in order to compete in the woman’s division. That is it.
Basically this person has done just that (and from what I have read only that) to compete in the woman’s division. Obviously his teammates are upset as well as many in the swimming world.
Is there a chance that this person is doing this to simply prove a point and/or gain notoriety? From what I’ve read, whatever this person has done seems to be 1) the bare minimum and 2) reversible at this point.

If he won the national Championship and broke ledeckys records on the way, then came out and said “you morons, you got played” I would have some faith restored on humanity.
Dude is a legit male swimmer. Two time Texas 6A champion in high school and a top 200 recruit.

I won’t deny that the thought did cross my mind.

From what I have read, this person has done literally the minimum to qualify as a woman. I couldn’t find anything “permanent” that was done though I guess taking that hormone therapy could mess things up in the long run.

The only procedure that I have found was that this person is currently undergoing hormone therapy. I saw no mention of gender reassignment surgery.

The fact that her own teammates are not supportive tells me something may be up. I know they are somewhat competing against her for individual times but I believe college swimming is a team sport similar to tennis.

I assume they would have to provide medical documentation and potentially be required to take some sort of test possibly. Providing falsified medical documents is a crime in itself is it not?

I just want this thread out there if several years from now we find out what was really going on.
