This is a classic slippery slope argument. It means the government will be able to make more laws concerning firearm limitations.

The government doesn't need this to make more laws. These judges will strip away your gun rights while letting the illegals run free. Did you learn nothing from the BLM riots? Citizens were arrested and punished for simply having weapons. This illegal gets off even though he shot at random cars. Wake up.

Peaceful people in the borders of this country should be able to protect their own lives.

Nope. Only citizens. If illegals can't be arrested for illegally possessing guns, then why should they be arrested for being here illegally? You're the one engaging the slippery slope. You're giving the leftists the arguments they need for amnesty. If they can enjoy the benefits of our laws, then there is no reason to not grant them citizenship. And if they can exercise a right like the 2A, why can't they exercise the right to vote? It just becomes a formality at that point. No reason not to push it through. You're not seeing the big picture.

Yes, but they’re unbelievably cringe. I remember trying to organize stuff with them in College, and they were an absolute joke which has gotten much worse since. The only competent folks now work for AFP or local GOP.

The only issue those morons care about is unpasteurized milk. I wish I was kidding.

What if it were an 80% lower they built?

Which gun laws prevent criminals from possessing guns?

If you ban non citizens from self protection, only violent non citizens will have guns. Gun control does not work, period.

I’ve normally agreed with your takes on here, but with this comment, you have to either be trolling or off the deep end.

Knowingly selling a gun to someone who is in this country illegally should be a felony punishable by minimum 10 years.

Are all illegals criminals that we should be worried about? Of course not. Having strict laws against it is hopefully one way to keep those who come here illegally with bad intentions from at least being able to purchase a firearm at the El Paso Academy, and it then also would hopefully be another motivator for those who want to come to the US to follow immigration laws so that they can be legally allowed to purchase a firearm as a legal non-citizen.

This could be problematic for your arguments;

quote:

In both the First and Fourth Amendment contexts, this can result in curtailed rights.109 The Supreme Court has established that all the freedoms of the First Amendment apply to aliens inside U.S. borders110: “[O]nce an alien lawfully enters and resides in this country he becomes invested with the rights guaranteed by the Constitution to all people within our borders. Such rights include those protected by the First [Amendment] .

However, since they are seemingly going with the asylum angle (lie) that would be considered "lawfully" entering the country.

*My issue presented with the OP was the LA Libertarians celebrating the arming of what I considered illegals. I do understand the way our constitution and laws can be interpreted in a way that allows them to be armed.

What I do not like is illegals being able to own guns while numbers of Americans are not.

I remember the days of more freedom. Used to sell my old guns through classified ads, never knew if the person who bought them were felon or illegal. Just that they had the money I asked.
No one did in those days.

People became pussies. Now we have to get daddy governments approval.

I'm not the one arguing for more gun control ITT

Go back and re-read what I said and what I was replying to.

Hint, I was replying to a comment promoting "left wing talking points" (and my response even referenced that talking point).

Actually no, I voted for Vitter and then Rispone. Edwards shut down Louisiana. Saying otherwise just makes you a liar.

Whats not a lie is libertarians wanting open borders.

Oh, well then, my comment changes: 0.

Stop making left-wing talking points and claiming you're not a leftist, or else you'll continue to have your hypocrisy displayed via referential mockery.

Bunch of them in here.

Lots of cognitive dissonance as well. Populists trusting the elite to grab guns and control the population.

Brilliant 6D chess.

How do you do a background check on an undocumented person?

Very easily, send off a fingerprint card to the FBI just like you or me would do.

Not in favor of non-citizens owning guns, but it is very common to run background checks on them and find any encounter they've had with law enforcement.
