The Pirates can’t achieve a home sellout… fan suppression.

He said himself that’s why he didn’t vote lol
But yea the law that says where he has to vote is the problem. Not his laziness.
That’s a common stereotype for blacks, isn’t it? Guess Dave roberts was right lol

Not even that much. Some aren’t going to want to vote. So requiring a vote is voter suppression.

Tacky's inability to conceptualize that every step/hurdle added in between the populace and the voting booth affects voter turnout really is something to behold. I'm glad we got around to this.

So then every single law and regulation around voting is voter suppression. Yet millions of people seem to get around it.

It wouldn't exist if you'd stop talking about and treat everyone equal.
There's trash of every race. But black people act more hurt than any other race yet the same things happen to other races.

An id isn't a hurdle. GTFO with that weak shite. What next, not voting because they make you wear pants? Man so many hurdles!

Did Stacey Abrams start this thread? Good lord, get over it.

It is definitely a factor. Any hurdle you add will discourage people from voting, some will be stopped before others.
Every law that pertains to voting is voter suppression of one group or another by your definition.

Having a form of id in society is almost ubiquitous as no shoes no shirts no service in a restaurant. Trying to frame it as some hurdle or suppression takes some incredible mental gymnastics.

I’d have leaned into and said “yeah we came here because we’re all in agreement that nonwhites, women, and folks who don’t own property shouldn’t be allowed to vote.”

There is only 1 possible reason to be against showing ID to vote…you want to be able to commit fraud.

“I’m not against it. I just know that it will prevent more black peoples from voting.”
Ignoring the actual reason why they won’t vote lol

His stance has led him to basically voting itself and every single thing about voting and every law that explains how to vote is voter suppression lol

Ive always thought this too. Apparently I was wrong though.
1% of Americans lack any form of government ID. Thats around 3 million people
Nearly 29 million Americans (12%) did not have a current driver's license in 2020.
I have to assume these are people born and raised in the city.
If around 6.2% of Black non-Hispanic Americans and 6.1% of Hispanic Americans lack a photo ID, then enacting a law requiring photo ID is suppression.
You cant convince me they enacted the law expecting every single person that doesnt have a photo ID would run out to get one. So the only conclusion is they don't care if those people can no longer vote. I'm not Dave Roberts. I dont care if they dont vote because of the law. If someone doesnt even have an ID, I'd say that they shouldn't be voting anyway.

yeah clearly you can't be convinced of obvious conclusions, but thats a completely reasonable expectation.

or......and this is just a crazy thought....they wanted people who are actually eligible to vote to be the ones who vote. wild idea i know.

You think every single person without an ID getting one after this law passed is the obvious conclusion? You are either very naive or dishonest.
Ill bet in a decade there will still be people without ID.
This law wouldve been illegal between 1964-2013. Thats just a fact.

yes i do. it's called participating in a society. if they choose not to then they just dont care about voting. i swear you act like these people can't put one foot in front of the other.
