Is it fair to say everyone declines with age? No one in their 70's let alone their 80's should be running anything. Most likely they are not, as we saw in Biden's case and are now seeing in Mitch Mcconnel as well.

Age requirements? Nah. I think citizenship, IQ tests, cognitive tests, civics tests, and current events knowledge should be requisite for ALL elected offices.

It depends on the person. Trump is still extremely sharp. It’s all about how you take care of yourself.

I would love term limits.

I hate the notion of people being a "career" public servant.

Why should you have to be 35 to run for president? We have elections right?

If voters want to elect a 90 year then we get what we deserve.

Is it time? Yes

Will it happen? No. Congress will never limit the amount of time they can get rich by using their power.

I propose a balanced budget requirement.
If you fail to balance the budget in 1/2 of your elected years, you are ineligible to run again for office.

If you want real improvement then require all of those tests for voters.

Do you think he is as sharp as he was at 50? I think there is a big difference between his first and second terms. I think the 4 years in between terms were very detrimental.

That would have eliminated Biden. Harris probably too.

There should be mandatory retirement ages. I would support a constitutional amendment to that effect for federal judges, qualifying for the presidential election, congressmen, and senators.

in my mind, middle-aged people should be running the country as much as possible.

the executives should have kids who are children-20s with the best elderly as advisors.

eta: someone like JD Vance (40s, high IQ, elite education) would be great if he wasn't a little tech skin suit
