I trust a farmer over every politician and most priests.

Sounds like Bloomers is descended from the original Pilgrims who had to be rescued by the Indians. The indians that taught them in order to grow crops, bury a fish head with the seed to fertilize it.

Bloomers corn seed would grow fungus and rot, producing no corn.

I bet I could learn to code at a trade school in two years.

After 30 years of attempting to grow food efficiently, I'd probably know 45% of what I need to know, have declared bankruptcy twice, and severed 1-3 limbs in a combine.

I grew up on a dairy farm. You needed animal science, crop science, chemical science, soil science, and financial knowledge including how to reduce risk by hedging. And then deal with variations in weather and government trade policy. Bloomberg is an elitist idiot.

The disconnect between people and their food is truly scary.

Lil' Mikey B wouldn't last until noon the first day on a farm. He would be wild boar feed on a corn farm.

Lol, go try it and tell us.

Invest everything into it while you’re at it. Take out a second mortgage.

The question should not be asked if being a farmer is easy. A comparison should be asked as to what do you offer society?

Is feeding millions of people a more worthy profession than running a gambling casino using stocks and bonds as your commodity?

My dad had my brother and I grow a small garden when we were about 10 and 11 years old, respectively, so that we'd have some idea about the process, at least.

And let me tell you. That little 10 foot garden was like raising a teenage daughter. There were a lot of complications, but we were eventually successful.

Imagine having huge crops, and animals to tend to, and trying to protect all of those assets? There needs to be a new word invented to describe Bloomberg's ignorance.

Lost a cousin in a combine accident while they were decoupling the front attachment.

His brother who still runs the business also teaches agriculture at Colorado State Fort Collins.

Yes.

Farming...open your hand and take government money.

Don't seem hard at all.

Maybe you should boycott all farmers and their products. Let me know how that turns out.

I know you know this is BS.

A modern farmer not only has to be a mechanic, but in today’s world had better be one of the most financially savvy and advanced thinkers in the area.

Making notes on millions of dollars of equipment, millions of dollars in inputs- betting on the come.

You had better be a helluva lot more businessman than mechanic.
