What the left is clinging to is the fact that it really isn't a single, centrally organized group

This was an OT discussion that got moved to this board.

I read what you posted. Here. On THIS board. I wasn't the only one who pointed out that they existed before Trump. Penrod said almost the same thing as I did, but for some reason, I'm the burr that got under your saddle.

Should I feel special?

What about the good old days when "authorities" had the ability to infiltrate and then bust. Do we do that anymore? Do we want to do that anymore?
I do.

It's HOW you replied.
But I've been on this board since this board was created. I know the climate here and what you can dicuss here vs the OT. I see people I consider on the right called liberal here. Any dissent is "TDS" and on a day like today with positive news anything can be seen as negative. But that's not the point. The question is valid and I wanted to ask the question. But there not here. I know the answer here.

But is this really that group?
I didn't hear anyone use Antifa as a name until after the first trump election.
Not the same group really.
The main difference being, there are no fascists outside of China (and then just for a short span under Xi).

Of course we heard of Antifa before Trump though. For example, Rose City Antifa was formally founded in 2007 as an offshoot to communist efforts under the same name in Europe. The

I'll concede that it was your remark about Trump and whether they were a 'thing' before he came to office.

I mistook your meaning, per what you posted, as to their existence in the USA vs having been around in Europe to combat Hitler's rise to power.

Safe to say they upped their presence as he became more popular, because he came right out against the socialism. He and Javier Milei are absolutely crushing it with their anti socialist / communist positions.

It bothers me that Democrats still want to claim that Antifa is 'just an idea' and had no hand in the riots of 2020, and the chaos moving forward.

Are most Ice protestors really in Antifa or is it just a catch all term used to paint a broad brush stroke?

It definitely leans that way. Just a term used for anyone that has anything bad to say about Trump.

In the age of technology, it's ridiculous that we don't have any video evidence of all of Portland being on fire as Mr. Trump has described it. I wonder if his team is trolling him or if he is losing his marbles.

They've been around for almost 100 years and have cells throughout a lot of the world. I would say there is no global organization/collaboration but there is some national organization/collaboration but it's intentionally "loose".

I hear Antifa thrown around alot. I know it's supposed to be "anti-fascist" but it mostly seems to be a start up group to oppose Trump. I said the same thing about the TEA party with Obama.

According to Jimmy Kimmel Antifa doesn't exist. We should trust Jimmy Kimmel because he's like real smart and stuff.

I've said the people who rioted in 2020 should have been arrested. I think blm is a sham to fleece money.
I just like many hear a variety of points on antifa. Based on political lines. Being more moderate I often see two sides or no side in things.

I look at the far left with absolute disgust. But at the same time i know I'm not right wing. I hate the two party system. I would prefer the UK party system with more than two options.

I hope people realize that the anqueefers aren't just the soy boy brigade that used to get their shite pushed in by the Proud Boys every Saturday.

There are some among them that are highly organized, well funded, well equipped and intelligent. The whole body overall might be a bunch of blue-hairs with septum piercings that dress in black and arm themselves with goggles, bicycle helmets, trash can lid shields and bike lock armaments... but there are factions among them that are deadly and quite formidable. They've been allowed to exist for too long to not have developed an extremely radicalized and dangerous sub-faction.

And honestly, how’s that working out for them now?

Or for France?

Or Germany?

Antifa is a group, it exists. A lot of other people and groups get called anrifa that aren't. When you see people dressed in black bloc, they are antifa.

You mean in terms of immagrants? Or internal policies?

We are on a right swing now. Then we will swing back. Then back again. With each pendalum swing further to each side. Not everyone is liberal or conservative. There are center left and center right people. Which oddly most people fall under but the far wings of each party are who seem to drive the ship.
