shite always happens after these kinds of agreements. The camel jockeys will pop off for a little bit and the fog of war will settle. I'll hold judgement for a couple days.

The two-week ceasefire plan includes allowing both Iran and Oman to charge fees on ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf, a regional official said Wednesday.
Is the US paying any fees? Hmmmmm?

Iran’s 10-point peace plan:
1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon
4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran
5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies
6. Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz
7. Iran would impose a $2m fee per ship transiting Hormuz
8. Iran would split these fees with Oman
9. Iran would establish rules for safe passage through Hormuz
10. Iran would use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations
I wanna hear the spin on this if it winds up being true.

I guess we’ll see, but I doubt this is true. The other Gulf states ain’t agreeing to this.

The amount of people who believe every single thing that fricking Iran says is both mind blowing and also somewhat expected.

If it’s a new permanent norm, then we screwed the pooch big time. That would make Iran one of the five most powerful countries in the world.
They have demonstrated that they effectively own/control the Strait. If we could have asserted ownership with reasonable losses, we would have. Not only that, but it's fairly clear that Iran has been preparing for an American incursion for, well, 30 years or more, even down to their decentralization tactics and command structure after decapitation, so the stated goal of regime change, whether warranted or not, is basically impossible.
We were obviously goaded into the war by the Israelis, and I think they leave this with even more egg on their face or worse.

Never said this is what was agreed to. This is irans proposed peace plan that we are calling a workable basis for negotiations. Don’t see how anything on this plan represented a workable basis

A toll booth.
If it's cheaper than the added insurance cost then a simple cost/benefit analysis with tell you the answer.

Don't forget that Rubio verified this as true early on and had to put in considerable effort to walk back his statements.

Jacks up the price of ME Oil vs US Oil.
Turkey charges for the Bosporus.
That said our fleet probably stops going in the gulf...
Unless this is a pause to target the new leadership

Can’t believe what is true? This is basically all the points they have been wanting this whole time. Nothing has been agreed to which you will see with basic reading comprehension.

Depends, are you MAGA, or do you have a functional brain that you can think for yourself?
If MAGA- It BE Better because my daddy Trump said it was.
If not- It is not better, it sucks.

Some of the Iranian propaganda people on this site repeated as true:
Thousands of US troops killed.
USN Lincoln incapacitated by drones
Trump rushed to Walter Reed due to Medical Emergency
US Airman Captured
F15 shot down by new antiairdefense system
All US bases in Persian Gulf region destroyed
Multiple reports of US planes shot down or commandos captured inside Iran
And many more.

They’re desperate for an “I told you so” celebratory post but then cower when being called out for wishing for the death of US soldiers.
