I get the vibe that Iran is going to engage in more half-measures to save face at home rather than really provoking Israel. A few missiles, a few drones, then declare victory.
The problem with Iran is that they're a mountainous continental power whose military is designed more for internal pacification than force projection. They have no ability to project force by water whatsoever and their air force would get absolutely chewed up by Israel, the U.S., and U.K. Aside from the aforementioned missiles and drones, their only option is land warfare. Not only do they lack the logistical supply chains to move an army across the desert, but they'd have to do it with no air cover.........a total suicide mission. It would be the Highway of Death Part 2.

Not a single Iranian boot would reach Israeli soil. As I stated previously, that would be a lot of open desert to cover with no logistics and no air support. If they were planning a ground operation, it would take many months of preparation. This thing just fired up again a few days ago.
Also, if Iran pushes too hard, they're out of the petroleum business for the better part of a decade. Israel or the U.S. would flatten Kharg Island.

Or Iran fires a few Russian made hyper-sonic missiles with nukes on them. Israel and the US have nothing for those.
