This would be divergent thinking rather than convergent thinking. IQ tests are not measuring divergent thinking. Instead they're designed to test your ability to reason and process information. To use reasoning and logic to look at complex problems and come up with one correct answer. And they're not designed to test how well educated a person is.

By those parameters, Chinese people are not high IQ. They are just memorization bots.

Well, the tests aren't designed to measure divergent thought processes for good, scientific reasons, such as the need for standardized scoring. You can't really standardize scoring for creative solutions. There are other reasons as well.

IQ tests can be a decent baseline for measuring intelligence, but they're not without their faults.

Not necessarily tied to IQ though. IQ does tie to fluid reasoning, but that is more tied convergent thinking.

It's crazy to think about how there are certain parts of Africa where the average intelligence is only slightly higher than that of a highly intelligent border collie. And that isn't hyperbole.

Now you can see why “youths” will always be a problem, and why DEI efforts simply dont work.

I don’t know if the chart is accurate or not, but let’s say it is.

Certainly seems to be a correlation with the equator that’s world wide. I bet China wouldn’t stand out like it does if it was broken up into smaller chunks.

Is it food availability? Harsher weather? Having to figure out the food situation and having to figure out how to survive winters for thousands and thousands of years, etc.

Again, no idea of that’s a valid chart.

Sad rather than crazy, but all parties need to honestly address it for what it is.

Infectious disease burden is a biggie. When infants are constantly battling parasitic infections their brains don't develop the same as those in countries that aren't hotbeds for infectious disease.

Yuck ... but no accounting for "taste' I guess.

The numbers in Asia are complete total unadulterated bullshite. Asserting otherwise calls your own IQ to question.

I’m pretty sure early humans in Europe and large parts of Asia ate cooked protien at much higher rates than those in warmer environments which could forage for uncooked food year round which led to more brain growth in humanities early days.

This would be much more of an issue in modern times than it would have been in our early days. In our early days people in equatorial regions ate plenty of protein as the types of protein are much more diverse in those regions. Today however it is different in poor, developing nations. Agriculture has shifted and infrastructure isn't adequate to supply everyone with cold storage. Food spoils quickly in these regions and humans no longer hunt exclusively and eat as they go.

Disease burden is still the primary driver here, but protein deficiency is also a factor.

It has something to do with the protien being cooked. I don’t remember the science. Maybe it’s bullshite.

I will say that the average IQ in sub Saharan Africa is not in the 60’s. That’s basically retarded and they’re not fricking retarded. They may not be going to the moon or joining MENSA but they’re not that dumb.
