The last guy on stage looked like a lost old man reading from a piece of paper because he can't say anything intelligent without a script ... following in the steps of Joe Biden. Sad.

Thanks for acknowledging Trump defeat. The clips will be on all the news channels. They might make it into some ads. But the highlight reels will come from the debates that are fast approaching. Trump will get stomped.

DeSantis won the evening hands down. This is day one of the switch from Don Trump to someone who can lead our country to greatness which requires them to first beat Biden (or the DEM nominee) and Trump can't do that.
Then the polls will reflect that right.

You Ronbois are so delusional. Trump isnt attending your fake debates. Rob! gets to die on that tree limb alone. Last night was no boost for any other candidate. Even the news media in Iowa made it all about Trump

2) The link to the Lincoln Dinner report features a solo pic of Trump giving his speech
3) And the lead story was the bad weather that came thru the area
And TV news was the same. The first part of the story was all about Trump. They also included a link of Hurd getting booed for trashing Trump. No one can win without going after Trump. Yet when they do, they get a visceral reaction. This primary is over

IN time they will... and most importantly in the states that the GOP has to win in order to win the Presidency. Be prepared for what happens in the debates ... you are not going to like the results... or the polls over the coming months.

YOU act like the only people who saw last night, and will see the videos, live in Iowa. Iowa is small.
Trump WILL attend the debates. Maybe not the first one... I hope not because he will regret not being there. When he shows up at the second one ... ego won't let him stay away ... he will get crushed. This is not Kansas ... I mean ... 2016 anymore.

Remember when you outright lied about getting turned around at the Florida border on I-10 and made up a fake story about Disney?

Eventually. Not a lot of folks outside of folks on places like this spent their Friday night watching campaign speeches for a vote that happens in 6 months though. Hard core Caucus goers were watching. It's a long race and DeSantis won a skirmish last night in a war that will go on for some time. A big key for him is just staying in the fight long enough to outlast the other contenders and slowly peel away marginal Trump voters one at a time. He's got plenty of money and he's doing a ton of events.
We will see.

Last three 'candidates' who were there ...
Perry Johnson needs some medications. He looked like the DEM candidate year ago who was leading until he yelled liked a psycho. Do not need to waste anymore stage time for him.
Ryan Binkley did a pretty good job and was the ONLY Republican with the b@lls to discuss healthcare and made good points. He might make a good Rep or Senator for Texas.
Elder has a good story ... but needs to stick to talk radio. Not enough stage room.

All that proves is the media is trying to pump up Trump and not report the news. Fortunately most Republican Caucus voters DGAF about what a bunch of leftist media hacks think.

The story though is the energy level was night and day with DeSantis and Trump.
And the point is Trump didn't bring near the energy and still garnered more support than DeSantis. He is not going to bring anything more than he has brought for months and is not gaining traction no matter how bad his supporters want it. He is an akward candidate who was pushed into running to get Trump out of the picture. He puts on an act and doesn't even know how to turn a smile on and off.
Trump or DeSantis could bring better policy to the country than any democratic nominee. There are zero issues there. The issue is DeSantis is not a likable guy. There are more people who believe in Trumps policy and see him as more genuine person even threw all the hate spewed for years by media and politicians .
Sure DeSantis is liked more by the minority of Republicans and independents. Minority doesn't win a primary. The only polls that show him doing well are his own. It is time for the party to unite around Trump it is obvious he has the majority of support by a large margin.

What in the world do you think will happen at these magical debates?
They will not move the needle, at all.
You RonBots will say Desantis owned everyone and dominated and Trump people will say the same about Trump.
You get a 60 or 90 minute debate where each guy gets 10 total minutes to speak and they will spend a bunch of that fending off attacks from also rans.
Putting your faith in primary debates is false hope at best.
The only thing that can help Desantis is some outside event over which Desantis has no control. Like Trump having a heart attack or stroke. Desantis cannot beat Trump.
His campaign is a suicide mission. The embodiment of a no win situation.

Trump is so likeable suburban women drug their vagenes through broken glass to vote against him.
Cult45 likeable argument is one of their more laughable. A HUGE portion of the electorate absolutely hates Trump and go to the polls only to vote against him.

Keep holding on to this narrative but it's just denial. Megyn Kelly has been pretty harsh on DeSantis and definitely has not been excited about his personality. Then she actually met him. This is what happened. This is going to happen with more and more people. DeSantis connects bigtime with anyone that is married and has kids or that thinks of that as an ideal. Is he the celebrity of Trump? No, but Trump isn't what he was in 2016 for one and DeSantis doesn't need to be an entertainer, he just needs to be relatable.
Trump absolutely has more supporters today but people are fickle. Some Trump supporters want to be buried in a MAGA hat but most just like the guy or think he is the best option. Those folks can be converted, especially if they start to think Trump is past his prime or can't win. This is a marathon not a sprint, not sure why some of you folks don't understand that. Trump may win or DeSantis may win but the real game hasn't even started yet.
Megyn Kelly on Ron and Casey DeSantis

Ain’t nobody been hard on Desantis lately because (1) you wouldn’t see anybody be hard on him to begin with because if it’s predetermined that he would be treated harshly, they deny the interview outright; and (2) his actions are aligned with the actions of the media insomuch as he wants to create a bad and unappealing public image for Trump, and the left wants the same thing. And Desantis is the most effective tool with which to attempt that at the current time.
So it’s just not likely that there will be any real efforts to seriously damage his public image.
