They won’t spin it they will just ignore it. They still think it’s the Trump of 2016 and it just isn’t. That guy was sharp as hell. This guy isn’t.
There’s nothing anyone can do or say to change their minds. It’s all about the middle.

Cult45 want to compare crowd sizes tonight?

10 pm is pretty late. It’s about 4 hours past his bedtime.

I mean, I ain’t trying to rain on yall’s parade and what appears to be a good night for y’all, but I’m just having a hard time giving a shite about any single performance from any single person on any single day or night. If you will forgive me, it just sorta seems like y’all were starving for a positive event, and might be savoring it a tad too enthusiastically. Great, Trump had a low energy night, Desantis had a high energy night. Nope, I haven’t watched a single bit of it, but will completely take yall’s word for it. In fact, I don’t even have to do that - I’m happy just spotting Desantis the night over Trump.
End of the day, again, it’s a single event and hardly representative of anything else other than just that. Good for Desantis. He needed to notch a good score.

Registered foreign Ukrainian agent and Trump campaign manager Susie Wiles handed out caucus cards for the 20 ish minutes trump was there before his bedtime hit.

Ok champ. Desantis has been kicking arse all week. It’s clear a shift happened.
Watch both speeches. Just do it.

It’s a good sign for the DeSantis campaign and we’ve been starved of this. It got shaky there for a few weeks but the restructuring of the campaign is doing wonders it seems. Coordinated social media ads, a coherent campaign message, and going on attack vs Biden & Trump. It’s a small victory in a much bigger war. Have to see if it’s sustainable.

People that say DeSantis is boring needs to watch the vid from tonight and then watch Trump's.
No comparison.
No comparison.

Your partner immediately below you had no problem taking my post with a complete lack of disrespect or insult, as I had hoped. How did you have a completely different experience?

Agree ... Trump did NOT preform well, just that nobody else other than DeSantis blew it out.
I gave Trump credit for some crowd response. I'm sure a LOT of the Trump supporters (that I exclude from the Always Trumpers cult) saw what took place and started the first phase of the switch to DeSantis tonight. I really feel that the stage is set for DeSantis to move the needle in the debates. It is in his hands, not Trumps. All he has to do is deliver like tonight and land some punches. He needs to be prepared for Christie too. I do not think DeSantis has much issue with Trump in the debates.

Like Trump always in denial. Don;t watch the video replays unless you want to get depressed. DeSantis clearly outperformed Trump and everybody else on that stage.

I’m telling you to watch both speeches. That isn’t an insult.

Haven't noticed any of them commenting on how "great Trump's performance was!".
I doubt most will watch as they already know it's a shite show. And those few that do watch will not comment on it.
Can't say anything bad about their leader.

No ... there was a big distance between #1 and #2 (number 2 being a good place for Trump). The rest just did not get it done. Haley, Burgum, & Ramaswamy were not bad. I only placed Trump Trump above them because his speech on paper (read like a 3rd grader) had lines that allowed him to get applause. Any of those three, plus Christie, could outperform Trump in the debates ... whenever he shows up.
... dang, I left off Hurd.

So the insinuation is that the speeches tonight are of such magnitude, both in terms of distinction and mediocrity relative to each candidate, and in fact of such magnitude and gravity that minds should be changed on one’s preferred candidate to support from here on?

I believe tonight will go down as when the election started to change to the eventual nominee. The Real Ron DeSantis stood up. He has to follow through, but it started tonight.
Hopefully somebody makes a video showing DeSantis speaking, then Trump speaking ... back and forth between high energy DeSantis and the low energy Trump.
