The survey conducted by WPA Intelligence for the DeSantis-supporting Never Back Down super PAC indicates a neck-and-neck competition between the 44-year-old governor and the 76-year-old former president.
In a head-to-head matchup, Trump received 45% support, closely trailed by DeSantis with 43%, while 12% of respondents remained undecided.
This marks a significant shift from an early May poll conducted before DeSantis officially entered the race, which showed Trump leading with 53% support, DeSantis at 39%, and 8% undecided.
The Florida Governor also made significant progress in a broader Iowa survey that included the entire field of candidates.
The 45th U.S President secured 39% support, followed by DeSantis at 29%, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) at 7%, and former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley at 6%.
In a significant development, the survey indicated that the Florida Governor slightly edged out Trump among self-described Christian conservatives, a voting bloc that accounts for nearly half of the Iowa Republican electorate. Wilson and Maguire emphasized this finding, underscoring DeSantis's potential appeal within this key demographic.

This can't be right. I was told Trump was already picking his cabinet.
I've heard Ms. Lindsey is tickled pink at the thought of being Secretary of State

I'm warning ya, you're gonna make yourself sick, particularly when Trump is the nominee.

I expect Iowa to be very close. It would not surprise me if Ron won Iowa. Ron will likely get the same Iowa votes Cruz did in 2016. Cruz won Iowa in 2016.

pretty much everyone is resigned to the fact that Trump is most likely to be the nominee.
That doesn't mean we can't fight the good fight until the end, knowing that it means 4 more years of Joe Biden.

We should all be sick in that case because it equals four more years of commies.

Like a directional school kicking a field goal with a few seconds left to avoid a shutout.

Yall truly believe this huh.
The Primary hasn't even started yet. It doesn't start until the earliest August, and even then not REALLY until Iowa, which is generally unpredictable.

Except Iowa is the first state to vote in the primary

Ryan Girdusky, who is very plugged into both of their campaigns, said on a Twitter Spaces recently that internals from one of the campaigns (he didn't say which) show Trump only up by 4% in Iowa.

Cruz won Iowa in 2016.
And Trump was already crying about "fraud"
Sound familiar?
