Bud, we intentionally used our power to collapse their economy before the war started. The thousands of protesters getting gunned down in the streets were there because of us. I have yet to see a coherent argument of how our actions have helped anyone. Unless you believe in the cartoonish nonsense that they were about to nuke everyone.

In this clip the President confirms he's impotent and is specifically called out for being a weakling who would make a deal by the people actually running the show now.

What does this have to do with their economy collapsing? Some things are true no matter who’s in charge
Their economy is on the verge of collapse
Their military infrastructure has been destroyed at a rate never seen in history.

But who is in charge will determine who we are fighting in Iran, or who will remain in power when we leave.
The people most likely to make a deal have been removed from the equation. In what way is that good for us?
