An illegal alien from India who possessed a valid California commercial driver’s license is now in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody after authorities caught him transporting nearly $3 million worth of stolen tungsten oxide powder.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Deepak Kumar, was arrested in Greenfield, Indiana, after police tracked his tractor-trailer traveling westbound on Interstate 70.
The truck was wanted in connection with a massive cargo theft reported in Pennsylvania on June 25.
According to the Greenfield Police Department, Kumar is suspected of using fraudulent documents to obtain nearly 40,000 pounds of tungsten oxide powder valued at a staggering $2,857,500.
The powder was being shipped to Mitsubishi Materials Corporation in Japan.
Kumar was reportedly carrying three forms of identification when he was apprehended: an invalid work visa, a fraudulent New York State driver’s license, and a valid California commercial driver’s license.
Pennsylvania authorities charged him with theft by unlawful taking and criminal use of a communication facility. Bail was set at $200,000. He was later transferred to ICE custody in McFarland, California, where he remains.
Tungsten oxide is a valuable industrial material used in ceramics, lasers, optical equipment, high-tech windows, and the manufacturing of armor-piercing ammunition.

We don't.
But only Congress can stop it.

You won’t hear the Republicans nor Democrats talk about H1B’s. The Indians(and others for that matter) have rooted themselves into both parties. Hell, we have one running for governor in Ohio. He’s a “fair” example of assimilating to our culture, but it takes a generation or two. Don’t let your leaders tell you how much we need immigration, especially with the emergence of AI.

Truck drivers are not eligible for H1B's. You have to have a bachelors degree at a minimum. The H1Bs are for specialty occupations like software engineers, doctors, etc.
