All that for just $5B? Impressive.

Indian bridge what could go wrong

That’s an amazing build. I have a crippling fear of heights. I have recurring nightmares about falling from high places. It’s mostly developed in adulthood for some reason. As a kid I used to climb trees, sit in a tree stand hunting deer 40 feet in the air, walk across railroad trestles. I don’t think I could cross that bridge.

Check out Tspeed on instagrams "doo doo kitchen". He posts commentary on sidewalk food service in third world countries. This is a funny one, especially the family of rats waiting patiently for the "chef" to drop something.

I like the walkways on the side. There are a lot of videos of Indians taking selfies on the tracks and getting nuked by trains. This might be huge for that

I find it funny that so many make fun of Indian culture.....and then lament the fact they are kicking Americans arses in America with their job performance.
Quite ironic dont ya think

Need more information on this story. How did an archeologist come to destroy a bridge?

The Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link running through the rugged Himalayas was built at a cost of nearly $5 billion. It includes 36 tunnels spanning 119 kilometers and 943 bridges that allow travel through valleys and mountain passes by train, while previously connectivity in the region was only possible using dangerous roads or by air. The dedication of the rail link “marks a new chapter in mobility, trade and tourism for Jammu and Kashmir,” New Delhi said.
Yep. California has spent $15 billion and hasn't laid a mile of track.
