Incompetence.
The Secret Service is regarded as the most honorable of the Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. They're not going to allow nefarious forces to determine their level of protection.
Complacency and mental laziness caused this. We're all subject, to some degree to these shortcomings.

Was that chinaman that got shot down in the street last year intentional? What about that guy in Ecuador ?
Public nasty killings meant as a message not to go against a certain agenda.
This was meant to be one of those too but he turned his head

It's easy to sorta get stuck in the moment with shite like this. History is riddled with catastrophic and tragic events caused by the incompetence of experts and professionals. The Secret Service is no different.

50/50 only because both options can produce equal results - plus, it's a true long shot that we'll ever get the full set of facts.
That said, it strains credulity to assume, even in the face of egregious lapses, that a random dude just wandered onto the scene carrying assorted equipment, threaded the needle to find the perfect perch, and, with only nominal resistance, got off what would have been a kill-shot prolly 8.7/10 times.
And, while I appreciate the expertise of all the range jockeys that say this shot is practically the equivalent of hitting the broad side of a barn, that insight only supports the incredible nature of the circumstances leading up to the shot(s)...

Lean intentional.
I don't think DEI could've done this alone.
I don't think it had to be a widespread effort. Crooks was probably told to shoot and surrender. They would get him off lighly as too insane to stand trial. While all along they were gonna have him killed so he couldn't sing.

quote:.
Incompetence or intentional
Why not both?
“Say, what if we do a half-arse job at every turn, and leave it wide open for a nutter to take a shot? Then we have plausible deniability”
“OK, but it may be forever before someone steps into that void”
“Well I know some NGOs that I can loosely inform about our less-than-ideal security plan. Could be they could take it from there and wind up and let loose some nutter”

Intentional incompetence 80/20.
It wasn’t a planned attempt as in the letter agencies put this misfit on the roof.
But there are a lot of people in DC who would’ve liked to have seen this go differently. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to find that this guy was on the radar and simply allowed to do his thing.
Think a couple of offensive linemen being pissed at their QB and kind of going “ole’” as a defensive tackle charges thru,

The complete incompetence is 100% intentional

It was intentional incompetence...

The Trump team is obviously still using them so they must not think it was 100% intentional. If it was 100% planned they wouldn't have used this little schmuck to accomplish it.
Who in USSS is responsible for making the call to pull him off stage? This is biggest question bc they obviously knew there was a threat. Why did they leave him exposed?

No need for me to say on a public message board.

70/30. Just too many involved for it to be intentional.
I’ve been saying for a few years now how disillusioned I am regarding a lack of competence in many fields. Seems like our agencies are far worse than most.

With DEI hires I’d like to see a trend on the lifespan of an active duty CIA field operative.
My guess is that it has gone down without merit based hiring being the most important goal.

Intentional incompetence
They failed to consider the most basic of things.
Where is the President exposed
360 degrees?
That adjacent building is obvious to even a novice setting up security.
To overlook that detail is beyond incompetent.

100% intentional. They gave Trump B-team security with limited resources and said good luck buddy. They’ve even gone as far as proposing bills that would strip him of any security detail at all. Tucker called it.

99% intentional/1% incompetence.
And I only give 1% because he missed the shot. Fortunately.
