What kind of people would they be? Feds?

Good, it’s a state issue
It’s states rights!

The Save Act would require more than a driver’s license, iirc.

It doesn't matter. Until the second coming the devil will reign.

If they already have that power and the laws already exist, why the need for a new bill?
Most blue states require no ID to vote AND no proof of citizenship to register to vote. It’s an “honor system” and we know y’all have zero honor.

Charge the people responsible for allowing the illegal votes with a crime resulting in fines and/or going to prison.
Wait now. What about state rights. Maybe they did not want to do that.

Nothing I said infringes on their elections. They can still allow anyone to register to vote, vote in their local and state elections, or whatever. But if they allow an illegal to vote in the federal election, then consequences.
I'd much rather leave it up to the states and would like to preserve their rights as much as possible. Not to save the rights of states like California, but to preserve them for my own.
However if we really want to get down to it then it should be that these illegals should have never been able to enter the country to start with, as per the constitution is it their job to protect us from invaders.
If they aren't here to begin with, they can't vote. If you want to make the argument we're treating the symptom rather than getting rid of the cause, I'm down for that.
And the best way to do that is to get rid of social welfare programs.

How about you just limit the frick outta the government to the point where voting doesn't mean so much in your life.

That’s challenging when Democrats secure victories through dubious voter bases, as they’re the ones perpetually growing government’s reach and fostering reliance on it.
Eventually, to reach your ideal society, you’ll need to compromise a bit on that flawless theoretical structure and acknowledge that, in practice, results often outweigh the means of achieving them.

Amazing how a lot of the Trump populists claim to be for less government

You can thank Mitch McConnell and Romney's neice for saving this bitch in 22 and not pouring money into NV, PA, and GA. We could have gotten rid of her and picked up a Senate Seat. Those assholes had to protect swamp though.

The constitution has requirements on voting for federal elections. One is that you are a citizen. Requiring proof of that does not federalize elections. It ensures that the elections are lawful.
Well stated ….

The big government republicans you vote for want illegal immigration just as much.
Because they are the same fricking party with different rhetoric. You think it's a coincidence they just barely pass everything with 50%? It's all a show.
