That’s why I said it looked interesting because it looked odd, curious. Paint doesn’t peel like that. Not the stuff that’s used for aquatic projects. This just shows the lengths that these people will go to.

The Algae was placed there by leftists - it’s an algie native to Georgia and not DC. Leftist as miracle people that hate beauty because leftists are fat and ugly and evil people

How do we know the algae is from Georgia? Somebody said it was “Georgia algae“ but what the hell does that even mean? Any where there’s heat and water algae is gonna bloom. There’s nothing unique about Georgia algae.

I don’t think that’s true.
Allow me to break this down.
The reflecting pool is filled from the tidal basin. Algae is inevitable. The issue with the Obama renovation was they didn’t fix the leaks so the pool was constantly being refilled with basin water and the filtration system simply couldn’t keep up with all of the new algae being pumped in daily. Remember the pool was leaking 45,000 gallons daily and losing close to 1/2 million gallons per week to evaporation alone.
The recent repair was to shore up foundation issues and seal leaks. The algae bloom was attributed to residual algae in the existing pumping system. The new filtration system in being installed now and the nanobubblers are designed to starve existing algae of food. The pool is still filled from the tidal basin so algae will be an ongoing battle.

Yesterday’s thread said some leftist group funded people to take algae from a lake in Georgia and deliver it to the reflecting pool.
…Who knows why the algae from any DC fountain wouldn’t suffice.
