While I agree with this statement, this is not the concern that we would most likely face.

No, they did not. Your inability to understand nuance betrays your low intelligence.
Rights have never been absolute in this country and every single one of them have been limited in emergencies, often. There is a massive difference between people willingly and peacefully complying with government requests and the government “taking your rights away”. Temporary suspension of public gatherings is not uncommon

An ole military baw and I was discussing about this right after the tragic Sandy Hook fiasco.
He seemed to think it total civilian weapon confiscation in the US would happen in the next few years.
I contended it will happen eventually within the next 25-30 years.
Its going to take a couple of generations of good ole military/LEO baws to pass-away before that will happen.
Hell, the US citizenry has more guns than the Chinese army combined. And they still are buying by weapons by the boatloads.
Look at all the soy-boys and the sky-screamers, they are even purchasing guns/rifles... by the trainloads.
It would take a massive, violent undertaking to get all the weapons out of the hands and homes of the US citizen(s).
Do we really want to see hundreds of thousands of Waco-like LEO sieges happen all across the US?
Is the military going to launch violent raids against the US citizen(s)? B52 bombers, AC130 gunships, Stryker units going into neighborhoods...?
Most people in the US military and in the LEO fields are pretty patriotic and despise the left-wing do-gooders.
As soon as the gun-grabbers in power issue the command(s) to go after the weapons of the US citizenry, what do you think is going to happen?
I know what I would do, as would millions of our military and LEO baws in the good ole USA would do as well.

If just 2% of the armed population decides to take it to the government, there isn't a damned thing they would be able to do to stop it, unless they are willing to sacrifice their own families.
330 million x.50 = 165,000,000 x .02 = 3.3 million motivated citizens.

If citizens must surrender enumerated rights due to executive dicta as long as said executives maintain such edicts are for the greater good (i.e. an "emergency"), then they aren't real rights and never were to begin with.

Right. That must be why the shite was over so quickly in Iraq and Afghanistan. Can't decide between clueless and arrogant in that last statement, but it's one of them.

Civilian Insurgents engaging in guerilla warfare have been the bane of army’s since the beginning of time. Look at the havoc caused by IEDs in Afghanistan, Americans are just as resourceful, and we have better access to raw materials and information.

Keep thinking that and you will be proven wrong. I can’t imagine how you can believe that given what we’ve seen in the past month.
Incredibly naive.

I don't think some of these types have any concept of how ruthless and brutal motivated folks can be. If you're going to send the government to kill me and my family, you better hope you've tied up all the loose ends with your own family, because you just made all of them targets.
