Sounds retarded. No way there are 2 million illegals in Alabama.
Population of AL is listed at ~4.5MM. No way there are 2MM illegals here. 200,000 maybe

I have a landscape contractor for my house in Utah (15 miles from where Kirk was killed) who is a US citizen of Mexican descent. I talked to him yesterday and mentioned the assassination. He said, “I heard the news and was praying it wasn’t a Mexican.” He told me that the pressure on landscaping companies is very high right now. So the pressure for self-deportation is working.

And to think.. the grass is still getting cut, crops still being harvested, construction is still ongoing and the economy hasn’t collapsed…

They need to start hammering employers with fines for hiring them...
They already do. Employers hiring blatant illegals is not the big problem. The US government was operating a scheme of mass importation of illegals. They were funding their movement across South and Central America; they were funding their transportation across the United States; they were funding their living expenses once settled in the States; they were giving them social security numbers; and they were turning a blind eye as the illegals assumed fake identities.
All of this allowed millions of illegals to flood into the US and assume identities that would pass inspection by America’s E-Verify system. This is the system that employers rely on to know if it is legal to hire someone. It would be perverse, and impossible, to convict employers who played by the rules. If they (we) hired illegals it is because the Feds helped the illegals pose as legals.
This is a system that has to be undone gradually. The Feds need to fix the credential mess that previous administrations encouraged. Only then can they start prosecuting employers who hired illegals.

It is slowly trickling down. My gf goes to an ESL class that is free and paid for by grants. They are requiring the students to show papers. Most of the class won't be there now and the community college is scrambling because they will lose the funding

Of course not. It's an absurd statement.
I think some people are just trying to out retard each other around here with the hysterics.

Still need to outlaw remittances for illegals.
Or tax it at 50%.

If DHS couldn't tell us how many illegal aliens where in the country, how do the know how many have left? I don't trust a thing any government agency says.

ICE could have gotten 50K more if they just camped out at the Canelo fight Saturday.

I wonder if there will be a point in time when the government "mandates" companies that use E-Verify to recertify their employees.
Having the SSA system audited placed a huge spotlight on this. And when they started having the governmental entities talking to each other, they then put large bullseyes on a lot of these companies hiring people "they thought were legal".

I was driving through my neighborhood the other morning and noticed a few lawn crews out cutting grass and they were all black and white people and not all Mexicans like in the past. It was a breath of fresh air to see this.

Can I see the receipts on this?
I would like to see this as well. But we heard from a poster about his wife’s hairdresser bailing out. I talke to a landscape contractor in NOLA who told me that four of his employees were deported. They had legit visas, but their type of visas were canceled by executive order. He had a lawyer look at the rest of his folks and terminated six more. So it’s happening. But you can bet that 2 million is an exaggeration just because that’s what politicians do.
