It's not the impeachment that's the issue.

Its the optics presented in the narrative that the MSM will be harping next March through November to sway the low-information, mouth breather to vote for the Socialist ticket.

I don’t think anyone grounded in reality thinks impeachment is really on the table right now. Democrats in the House won’t even vote unanimously on the articles introduced by that quack.

This. Even allowing a vote on Impeachment would be nothing more than a dog and pony show. And then there's this...

quote:

Article 2, Section 4 of the US Constitution: The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

At this point Meuller and his team haven't brought a single charge against the President. Without this basic necessity happening first, anything else is nothing more than political pandering.

I agree that impeachment won't (and shouldn't happen), but:

Impeachment is just as much a political exercises as it is a legal one.
It's a purely political exercise.

then you are talking 2019.
It's 5 months from now. Doesn't seem all that long.

So, let's pretend that the Ds take the House and that Mueller is able to juke and jive until then...

This is exactly what's going on now as we speak. He has nothing, but he's trying to run out the clock until the November elections to keep this in the news.

So what you're saying is Republican Senators don't care if the President is a criminal, so long as he's Republican?

Yeah no shite. We already knew that. The entire partly is completely devoid of moral or principle.

Literally anything can happen in politics, and things can change fast. Who knows what the future holds?

I do think that , as is usually the case, the pendulum will swing back toward the middle, eventually
Much to the chagrin of the true believers.

You really are confused.
The phrase relates to the policies of any country...keep their priorities centered on advancing or protecting their own country.

What did you take it to mean?
