Have Dems really thought about how this will look in 100 years?
They have been so blind with rage and desire to hang the "impeached" sign on DJT, they never stopped to think how history will judge this fiasco

Dem's don't even have a 2 year vision, why would they care about 100 years later? They live for the moment.

Considering it is mostly leftists in academia that write the history books, I'm sure it will be looked upon extremely favorably and the re-election will be painted as "look how dumb America was then"

The DEMs are fixated on one and only one goal = TOTAL POWER = they have no timeframe for it - but every action they take is to further that outcome. Whatever they have to do in the interim to stay in the game is what they will do.

The only way this makes any sense is if the Democrats are only doing this to save their own necks.
Otherwise, it's as you say, they would never go down this road and risk not only being voted out of office, but literally seeing to the ruin of their entire legacy and political party.
Folks are trying to keep themselves out of jail. It's plain as day.
I wish McConnell would have went even father in his speech today. This isn't about "partisan rage." This, for the Democrats, is about avoiding being discovered to be nothing more than a "legitimate" mafia. Some of them deserve a traitors death and I don't say that with hyperbole. It's the truth.

If the Dems have their way he will be the only Prez impeached 2 or 3 times in his first term, and 4 more times in his 2nd term.

The democrats will not underestimate the number of votes that they need to rig the upcoming election. They misjudged Trump's support in 2016 and lost...they wont make the same mistake again.
