Imo, it is ridiculous that New Zealand decided to ban certain firearms in only 6 days

Such significant steps from a government authority against its people should take a very hefty and necessarily long debate; to make sure the decision is not rash and no actions are taken with unwanted outcomes. 6 days is not enough time to come to the conclusion that a wholesale class of weapons should be banned.

I am very happy we have a government MEANT to be slow and heavily constrained by our bill of rights.

If NZ had a 2nd amendment, they wouldn’t have been able to ban those guns so quickly

It's almost like they already had an agenda in place.

You know, if I didn't know better than that.

Banning the tool instead of addressing the man behind it is the absolute stupidest thing you can do.

If America banned every tool used in a major terrorist attack we would no longer have cars, box trucks, or airplanes.

Up to them to do it or not. It's not anyone's business but their's.

We wouldn’t have fertilizer either which would mean we would probably all starve.

Until leftists want to bring that shite here

If it “isn’t any of our business” (which it isn’t) then why the hell do we have to hear so much about it?

It would make much more sense to just deport/ban Muslims, but that’s not something that can be debated I guess.

It's a knee jerk reaction on steroids. And I tend to agree with the person who said it seems staged, it really does seem just too convenient

This is why the USA is still the greatest. If a country can change laws that quickly before emotion can be taken out of the equation then the government wields way too much power for me.

Great post. The OP is obviously trying to rally the Kiwis into rising up.

No chance he is pointing out the incredibly fast sequence of events as a warning to this country.

Lol.
You even Patriot Act bro?
It was passed like a week after 9/11.
Most people think the bill was written before the attack.

I recall it being closer to two months. Fast, yes. But not six days.

It's an indication that country isn't infested with an all-powerful NRA, tyrannical gun lobbies and Wayne LaPierre sorts like America.

Bump stocks, really?

No, but it is infested with low IQ SJW leaders who feel the need to virtue signal by wearing a hijab and endorsing the call to prayer of a caveman religion founded by a warmongering pedophile, so the USA is actually superior.....

First version was introduced on Oct 1, so 19 days after the attack.

It was 342 pages. Maybe they wrote that in 19 days. You can believe that if you’d like.
