If you're going to be honest, you have no real desire to know the logical reason. If you did, you'd understand by now.
And I think you do understand it perfectly. You just don't agree with it. And that's fine. You don't have to agree. Trump has said multiple times he believed Iran was very close, within a week, of attacking US interest and military bases and that he wanted to strike them first.
