I couldn’t freaking breathe dude. I laid down to go to sleep like 3 times and felt like I was being smothered. That’s a scary feeling.

Edit: There’s only one walk-in clinic in our town and it closes at 7:00

My wife and I had it in December as well, and this past Sunday she was feeling bad enough (but no fever and cough) that we got her tested that day. They said it was negative. They said they were surprised she thought she had it again because it was rare that ppl caught it twice. The fatigue and intestinal distress were puzzling, but the test was neg. She had the infusion, too, in December. Not me, tho.

Yesterday, the day after the negative test, my wife had a pre-scheduled appointment for a checkup, and her doctor said the rapid test had too many false negatives and the doctor didn’t trust it. Since my wife’s symptoms mirrored Covid the doctor wanted to do the 24-hour test. We’ll have the results today. Im now curious how many cycles they’ll run it. I didnt get a good feeling from that doctor, so I kept my mouth shut.

ETA: the doc also said the antibodies can disappear after a few weeks and was aware of someone getting it 3 times. Not sure if she meant singular or plural, tho. I knew I would start a debate if I said anything at all.

I mean the next sentence was that you went to basically get tested.

Yeah, tested because I couldn’t breathe not because I had a headache or diahrehea or loss of taste/smell. That’s why I didn’t go Sunday when I had the mild symptoms.

My point is that is why you went to ER. At that point, who cares if you are Covid positive or not.

Don’t be a dipshite dude. If he had the flu, and knew for a fact that’s what it was, he probably would not Go to the ER because he would know how to treat it.

He had to get tested to know what it was and how to treat it….this isn’t hard

If you are positive you want to disclose it to or avoid those with compromised immune systems.

This is a first time reading that anywhere.

Reinfections seem to be quite rare.

Reinfected not once, but twice, that’s some really shitty luck, or someone is in some really bad health.

First time I ever heard of that, too. I’ve heard another family member got it a second time, but my response was that she caught it early enough last year to have been tested with the swab that didn’t differentiate between the flu or wu flu. I have a hard time believing people are getting it again.

But not scary enough to prevent you from starting a thread on it.

I believe its to prevent respiratory infection due to the mucus which comes from Covid.

Dude there are lots of folks going to the ER to get tested. Last I checked the ERs are full and have better things to do than test people just to see if they have Covid. You can literally buy the self test at any drug store.

If he was having severe chest pains then that is a different story.

Anyway the ER doctor just came in and said I’ll be fine , he’s releasing me and giving me antibiotics , and he doesn’t expect to see me again.

Do you have a bacterial infection? We’re you tested?

Antibiotics work to kill bacteria, of virus or virally infected cells. You may be a case of “we got a guy breathing hard, let’s claim Covid and grab the government cash”

The antibodies ALWAYS disappear. Immunity doesn’t
