I'm getting close to being a single-issue Trump voter

The world needs to reach "peak meat" within the next 10 years to combat the effects of climate change, scientists have warned.
In a letter to The Lancet Planetary Health Journal, they said all but the poorest countries needed to set a time frame for livestock production to stop growing, since the meat and dairy sector is responsible for such a large proportion of emissions.
The scientists called on governments to identify the largest emissions sources or land-occupiers in the livestock sector and set reduction targets to help fight the risk of global temperatures rising by more than the "safe" limit of 1.5-2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

There is a very concerted effort underway to demonize meat from every direction - and the newest line of bullshite is climate change.
a)the identified effect of meat on climate change is like 4% of the problem
b)they act as if agriculture doesn't have any impact - so the only thing that matters is the delta between the two (which is even smaller, by definition)
frick all that.
Please tell me I can count on OMB to keep my steaks a comin' for years to come.

You guys love soy. You’ll be fine.

I think you're confused about who "us guys" are. But to remind you about yourself - you are the coward who doesn't even have the courage of his convictions around the murder of babies to move to a country that you have identified as acceptable that doesn't murder babies.

Your soy taste will develop over time. You’ll be fine.

You basically base your vote purely on emotion, so I’d already call you a single issue voter.

Is this a stop sending food to Africa thing? Because that's practically the only area with any significant population increasing.

90% of the people who want to ban meat are not capitalists.
Capitalism is what is going to end factory farming of cows and chickens in the West within the next 15 years, as Impossible Burgers and impossible chicken get perfected. The burgers are already nearly indistinguishable from real beef when you get them at a proper restaurant who knows what they are doing.
I guess the left realizes that they can mandate this and expedite the transition by using big government to do so.
The problem is that this will increase the wealth of the top 1% (venture capitalists, large shareholders) and take it from the middle class (beef, chicken farmers)
