His congregation should demand that he resign for being ignorant of the Biblical context.

lol, purgatory, indulgences, praying to mary and saints, infallible popes, priests providing absolution etc etc. absolutely no biblical justification for any of that. Looks like protestants just learned well from the Catholics about making up stuff that benefits you

FIFY.

If all the pomp, pageantry, ritualism, and utter ostentation we have already witnessed out of the Catholic Church surrounding the pope's death (all of which would sicken Jesus, imho) doesn't tell you that this isn't only a protestant problem, I don't know what to tell you.

I'd urge you to embrace Jesus Christ. All sin--including yours and mine and that "pastor's" from the OP--separates us from God, who is holy and righteous. The only way to have everlasting peace and bliss is to have our sins against God paid for. That's what Jesus did on the cross for us. If you believe that His death paid the debt our sins owe, then your sins will be forgiven and you can have spiritual peace.

I’d suggest focusing on false prophets & charlatans posing as priest or pastors who grift while misleading / fleecing their flock.

Your soul is at stake this very day, and there may not be a tomorrow for you. That's why I'm focusing on you right now. I don't want you to perish in your sin but to have everlasting life.

Had he argued Jesus was a refugee when Mary and Joseph fled to Egypt to escape Herod,

Maybe.

What did they do after that?

They went home.

As opposed to Catholocism, which believes in the infallibility of a Pope like John Paul 2, who promoted the piece of shite Cardinal Law and gave him Vatican citizenship to shield him after he enabled and protected all of the pedophile priests in the Boston area.

I'll take the a$$hole with the Bible over the corrupt fraud who enables and protects pedophiles. All day long. You should too.

Yea, and crucifying people on a cross until they died was acceptable. Should we revert back to every social norm at the time?

Egypt was part of the Roman Empire at the time. So yes, yes He was.

Yeah well, Jesus wasn't driving drunk, human trafficking, selling drugs and playing loud music.

That's not how any of this works. The Catholic Church believes papal infallibility only applies when he is speaking Ex Cathedra, when he is defining doctrine for the universal church. Catholics do not believe the pope never says anything wrong or is perfect. Popes are people like you and I. Glad I could clear that up for you.

Edit: A pope hasn't spoken ex cathedra since 1950. It's very rare.

Never trust anyone who preaches in a robe. They care more about pageantry than the Word of God.

Are we going to be able to find out the particular Christian denomination of this Pastor?
