So assuming you've traveled, what are your impressions?

At a high level? The US is overall the wealthiest country and that is noticeable almost immediately upon returning. Parts of the US are fabulously wealthy. We really don’t have poverty compared to most of the world. We do have a lot of deadweight in our population.

Americans are incredibly fat overall and (at least in the South) seem to put little effort into their appearance. Our overall work ethic seems to be waning. Our firearms freedoms (even in anti-gun states) are very impressive.

Our infrastructure is not as nice as one would expect for a country with this much money. The South is noticeably impoverished compared to most of the Northeast.

Our relationship with automobiles is unique in the world in my experience.

frick off. I can count the number of times I have left the great state of Louisiana on my hands, and that’s more than enough for me. Those of us in Hammond especially love where we live and don’t need you commie fricks interfering with our lives.

Is this satire?

No satire here. Just an old man sick of you liberals trying to tell the rest of us how to live.

Used to travel to San Francisco every week. Work-leisure trips. Spent tens of thousands in the general area, often traveling with my wife. An amazing city which has been run into a cesspool thanks to liberal policies. The last time I was there, I was accosted by a homeless after he was pissing in the street.

Never had any desire to return and has it has gotten ZERO travel dollars since.

Before Gavin's time, but they are all responsible for it.

I have never been and after the draconian way the country acted during covid I’m not sure that I can ever bring myself to go (don’t want to spend money there and help their economy).

I like to travel a lot.

I dont agree with a lot in this board but I do see the issues with rampant Muslim migration. Especially in France.

. It seemed Italy was better at dealing with the influx.

The only thing I remember from Australia was seeing the wildfires when flying. New Zealand, on the other hand, was amazing.

I was in SF 10 years ago. Was constantly on the lookout for literal shite on the sidewalks, got cursed at for thanking someone after I mistakenly thought they were doing me a kindness, and was constantly watching my back everywhere I went. The place was trashed out and disgusting. I’m sure it hasn’t gotten any better.

Doing so can give you some perspective on the US and help you more easily see the good and the bad in this country. And prove or disprove your assumptions.

Traveling around the US is like traveling to other countries. People fail to realize how large the US is compared to Europe. Arizona is close to the size of Italy. If you go from Arizona to Mississippi you'll see 2 vastly different places.

I have. On our way to a charity build in Tijuana, Mexico. Early AM, around or 5, we were passing through San Diego and stopped to pick up breakfast before going to the border. Before we got out, some drugged out chick was yelling at a coworker who was doing nothing but standing next to the van.

2) LAX is awful
3) Lots of liberals. Too many. Same with Denver. A shite pile of liberals. All of which reak of weed, young, too many tattoos, yet an overabundance of money to fly to the liberal hot spot destinations: LA, New Orleans, Denver, New York, Las Vegas. I don't understand how people in their 20's have money to fly so frequently. When i was in my 20s, i was working and def not rich enough to jetset around the country.

I wish every citizen could travel abroad. I believe the net result would be less ignorance and more patriotism.

Liberals love flying. They’ll do whatever it takes to leave the shithole they’ve created. The rest of us are fine living where we are at.

From my experiences, being "traveled" does not make you more enlightened. You can calm down with your liberal presumptions.

I’ve been to 70 countries and lived in Italy for 3 years. There’s nowhere I’d rather live than the US and it’s not close.

California is my favorite region on the planet geographically. It has everything & the best weather I e ever been to.

From South to North has almost everything covered geographically and weather wise, it’s a diverse and bountiful place.

But the politics destroyed it. But if I ever hit the lotto and can afford to live there, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

For those that have never been to SOCAL in specific (and where it becomes MAGA country), the weather, the ocean, the geography, no bugs or mosquitoes, no humidity & the woolen are fine around Laguna / LaJolla / San Diego,

That’s the places to be!
