If we get war with Syria, I'm off the train in 2020

Trump ran on America first. He bitched and moaned the entire campaign about being the world's police and meddling in others' affairs and now here we are, any moment now we're going to get the news that we're attacking Syria's regime, which is backed by Russia. We're receiving threats from a MAJOR nuclear power that if we attack Syria, there will be serious consequences. Sure, much of that is probably just talk but we can't take it lightly.
It's a hard question with no easy answer but:
Is Syria's use of chemical weapons on their own people important enough to America that we should risk a war potentially like we've NEVER seen before over it?
Come on, Trump. Really? The massive spending bill and now this?
Here's to prayers for no war, especially no war with Russia.

I'm right there with you as is most of the true/original MAGA (many of whom started with Rand Paul before Trump emerged as our voice).
I think there's less than a 1% chance that we have a literal "war" with Syria and/or Russia.

I dont think so either, but this sabre-rattling crap is so tiresome.

Yeah, but I’d put the odds of a Libya-esque conflict around 80% and an Iraq War quagmire around 65%. I want neither of those things.

Trump’s Train will not be in the mix in 2020. He’ll be removed from office with the help of the GOP by mid-summer 2019.

Chemical weapons are a Geneva Convention issue. That should be enforced by the UN.
The US does not need to be enforcer.

lulz. We tried to go that route but the proposal was vetoed by those sneaky Russians.

You sound like one big giant vagina. Their Government gassed little children and their citizens with poison. You think that is ok?

Don't care. Not our problem. The ME has been and will be murdering each other forever.

TRUMP wants to save children and make the world MAGA

I think Trump might have to lob a couple hundred missiles at Syria to get the GOPe cucks to support him re: the investigation.
If he does nothing the entire neocon wing of the party (McCain, Graham, Kinzinger, etc) will abandon him.
It's a really ugly spot he's in.

Can someone give me just a little background of the concept of why people say that these gassings are happing? Is this Asad's way of controlling the people? Retribution for some kind of uprising? Simple chaos?

There wouldn't be so much public chest thumping if they were planning for actual war.

Well you sound like one big douchebag that doesn't understand history. Massive conflicts have started over much less than this. You sound like you WANT war. frick you.
I don't think that gassing children and the rest of their own citizens is okay at all, BUT that's not America's problem. Do you go spray the hornets in the yard 30 houses down from you because they sting those residents? No, because that's not your problem. Let the people in THAT backyard take care of those hornets. Don't spend money on all that spray, all that fuel, all that energy to go there and spray them FOR that homeowner. Now you're at risk of getting attacked by the same hornets and all their buddies.
frick that.
Take measures around your own backyard to prevent hornets from nesting on your property instead.

Trump should take no action here.

I don't know whether Trump will be gone, but, I agree with the idea that the GOP and the Dems are working together to rid the USA of Trump and Trumpism.

He'll be picked apart by McCain, Graham, Sasse, Kinzinger, all these talking head neocon cucks who are regulars on the MSM shows.
I don't think he has a choice but to at least do something similar to last year. Stop short of boots on the ground, but at least give them their missile strikes for a day or two.

Syria didn't use chemical weapons on it's people
And if they had, no, it's not in our interest to get involved.
That's the same shite the CIA used on Saddam.
