re: If Trump was your employee,

I didn’t criticize Trump morals, I criticized the type of man he is. I admire many of the people you listed. They were driven and hard headed about making their country better. Trump is not the same type of person those people are. He is a weak cry baby who surrounds himself with brown nosers. He doesn’t have the strength to face his opponents. He doesn’t have the mental dexterity to study a problem. He just wants to whine and say me, me, me. He would look ridiculously stupid on the debate stage, in the situation room, or at a dinner table with any of the people you listed.

Exactly.

Aw great 140th post, welcome to the board.
Now lets put some famous world leaders in this context:
Would you fire Winston Churchil for being an out of control drunk, loudmouth, a-hole?
Would you fire Bill Clinton for sticking his dick in anything that moves in the office?
Would you fire Teddy Roosevelt for being an early version of Trump?
Would you fire JFK for sticking his dick in anything that moves includign Sam Giancana's girlfriend, all while on a pain pill addiction?
Would you fire Dwight Eisenhower for porking his lady driver regularly?
We could go all day but as you can see the intellectual background to this is weak sauce.
All of those examples (except Teddy Roosevelt, which is sufficiently vague as to mean anything) are about personal behavior.
He's talking about Trump's professional behavior.
Again, I wouldn't fire him when the alternative is a Democrat who has managed to raise prices on just about everything—in some cases by as much as 35%-40%—in just two years, but the criticisms are valid because he's not professionally solid but personally questionable. He's actually almost the other way around.

let me help you.
you are still under the delusion that some political entity is going to ride up on his white horse, bring congress together, and begin to heal the rot that is Washington DC.
I'm here to tell you the harsh, but obvious truth. That isnt going to happen. DC is far too gone.
The only hope we have, is someone who will go in there and break shite. You see, all the reasons you think Trump is unfit for the presidency are EXACTLY the reasons he is the only viable option.

I amazed that people think Trump is a leader. I think how stupid people of average intelligence are and then at least half the population are dumber than that. I hope I never have to judged by a jury of my peers.

The Trump persona who breaks shite only exists in cyberworld or at his rallies. He had 4 years to break shite and he got teabagged.
I agree with your sentiment, I just don't see how anybody thinks it'll be different next time.

Only the Trumpanzess believe the next 4 years will be different
If anything the deep state will come at him harder ( I wouldn’t rule out “you know what”).
He also hired a ton of shitheads and then shite all over them after jettisoning them so who would want to work for him?
He’s better than Biden but it sucks that he’s basically the only sane option
Posted on 12/19/23 at 9:00 am to Roughneck2020
he doesnt have to be.
he just needs to be a vengeful, spiteful agent of destruction with absolutely nothing to lose.
Do you think the democrats will rally behind Ron DeSantis to fix anything? Do you think Nikki Haley will side with the populist conservative base against the GOPe? Do you think the lawfare stops and the deep state plays fair with Vivek?
You are a fool's fool if you believe any of that.

You WANTING him to be that is absolutely irrelevant when it comes to whether or not it will actually occur. Looking at past performance is no guarantee, but it's a helluva lot better option than wishcasting.
Posted on 12/19/23 at 9:04 am to Flats
Maybe. But I can 100% guarantee we will get NOTHING of value out of the other candidates.

Sounds like General Contractors.

Performance of who? Ron?
Whats Ron going to do when the lawfare hits him? Because it will. But it doesnt matter anyway because Ron is cooked. You can either rally around Trump or stay home and pout if you like things the way they are.

You guys consistently project; it's weird as hell.
I'll vote for the best option on the ballot in the primary, then do so again in the general. I didn't want Obama to win, I didn't want Trump to lose. Life goes on.

He starts a lot of shite and causes problems inside of organizations he is part of. He's the salesman who gets a lot of accounts, but the Customer Service team has to spend an inordinate time cleaning up behind him. He's sloppy, so you are probably looking at minimal margins because of it.
Probably would not promote him.
Probably would not promote him.

Yes.
Yes it is.
I can only theorize that it happens because they lack the imagination to consider that someone else might react differently than they would.
I also think it's why they love Trump so much. Because they would act like him if they could.

This.^^^
I have a salesperson right now in my company who does a good job (not great, because she relies on innate ability instead of working on improving her skills set, which also resonates in this context) and works hard and will do some things other employees will not.
However, drama with other employees follows her like the dust cloud follows PigPen. She manages to upset just about everyone else at some point or another.
My Company Director and I frequently ponder whether she's worth the trouble. I'm really not sure she is.
