I agree, but I think you overestimate how meaningful his tweets are. We live in a 24 hours news cycle, people have the memories of goldfish.

I just don't think tweets, whether good tweets or bad tweets, are that impactful on long term political developments in America.

Long term, you're right. Tweets don't last in the news cycle because we move on to another forced controversy.

My point was more to tweeting this type of thing in the current climate for the Democrats. I think it was poorly timed. What's the quote about not interfering with your opponent when hes destroying himself?

In the recent political climate, the house Dems are going after each other. The "progressive" wing is targeting party leadership calling them racists etc. That's a good thing for President Trump. a really good thing. It was a good thing when he came out on Friday and looked measured and reasonable and says "Nancy Pelosi is not a racist" and ripped AOC.

We'll see what happens moving forward but IMO Trump gave them a sort of regrouping point to rally behind "Trump is a racist" and "we've got to focus on Trump, not each other". So it's not the content of Trump's tweet per se....its the timing given what the Democrats had been up to lately.

I think you said it yourself that the Democrats will regroup no matter what. Whether they re-group using this tweet or something else they will regroup

The president has got to give messages to the other side that we mean business.

. And good guys like me are getting frustrated by these attacks against our country....honestly think although at times uncomfortable to see a tweet like this is necessary and helpful for the good side

Are there any in between voters that might’ve switched to the president or stayed at home because the Democrats are crazy? I am not sure but it can’t be that many .

You and I both know this election is going to focus on Michigan Pennsylvania Wisconsin Ohio and Florida. What will voters of those states especially the swing white blue-collar voters think of this tweet? That’s the question we have to ask

Let’s face it the president is only bringing to light thoughts that all of us think. Now it’s all there. In public. So how we’re gonna handle it?

It’s a tricky game but incredibly he is the first major politician to bring up this point about these for lefty women in the last two years .....this big elephant in the room that everybody’s thinking about why they hate America so much yet have their families emigrate here. Eventually they’re gonna have to answer this question in some sort of way.
