i hope im wrong, god i hope im wrong, but we all know dimms own roberts, he is their slave and will always rule their way on important issues. he knowingly ruined his reputation and his legacy on the SCOTUS to deny the constitution and rewrite obamacare himself on the bench in his rulings to save it.

i see no reason anyone should believe for 1 second he wont run this, and rule on impeachment the same way maxine waters would if she were in charge and i think it is already baked in that roberts will throw trump out of office for the slightest excuse he can find and he will do just that

i think this is the swamp, once again setting trump up and this time it seems to be working. i have zero faith in roberts ruling fairly on anything trump related

convince me im wrong on this? we were all 100% certain he would rule against obamacare and he didnt. he also has made statements in regards to trump that signal he isnt a trump supporter, namely the "there are no partisan judges" BS comment

There's absolutely no scenario where republican senators lets John Roberts run the trial. Absolutely none.

Roberts will do the exact same thing his old boss, William Rehnquist, did in the Clinton trial, and that's absolutely nothing.

What leverage could anyone have on Roberts?

He is Deep State scum - handpicked from an early age by the same folks who picked Obama and Pete. With that said I agree he will wield very little power here

Roberts can't do anything on his own. This is a Senate process. They make the rules.

The same thing that caused Roberts to change his vote on ObamaCare At the last minute.

You do realize that Roberts does not rule on the impeachment, right? Trump can only be removed from office by a vote of 2/3 of the Senators. Roberts simply rules on objections, etc. pursuant to Senate rules.

roberts

Will be muted for the most part; he has no real authority in the Senate

Correct.

There's no listed Article 3 powers over an impeachment trial in the senate. Just merely says " chief justice shall preside" and that's it.

Meanwhile it also says, "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments" and it can't get any more clear than that. Power means what it means.

Adoption fraud is one possible reason. But he should have little impact.

What a juxtaposition. I'm watching a split screen on Fox News and there's Trump working for the American people to fix all these screwed up trade deals with China and then you have Pukelosi preparing to deliver the shampeachment articles over to the Senate.....what a Dim shite show y'all.

Roberts can rule on things...and even then, he can be overruled as to any decision he makes by a simple majority. So, if he makes some jacked up ruling prejudicial to the republican side, then the republicans can overrule his ruling. (Though to get 51, you would probably need some of the RINO cucks to go with you....)

This is decades old news. I thought everyone knew that. I don't recall. It has most likely long since been washed away by the liberal media.
