It depends on whether GOP primary voters smarten up and learn the lesson from 2022 and 2024. Namely, candidate selection.

Um, every republican majority since Clinton left office has been a miserable failure. Practically nothing was accomplished with the congressional majority in Trump's tenure, to the contrary, they fought him on several of his campaign goals. The tea party sweep wound up stabbing their grass-roots movement in the back so thoroughly the movement dropped dead.

The GOP will most certainly go back to giving you more of the stuffed suits you seem more comfortable with... and just like they have always done, they will help the left push us further away from liberty, limited government and into more wars.

How do you know?

Because no other candidate could win the GOP primary. You can't possibly win a national election if you can't do that.

I find it astounding that you shite on DeSantis all the time but you are on record as wanting him as the VP choice. So is he bad or not?

Make up your mind Grover.

We will be a one party state system/state forever.
Got news for you. Even if Trump wins, there is still a long way to go. The executive is weak, thankfully by design, in our system. This isn't going to get fixed by one dude. This is going to take a generation to change.

That is all fantasy. The GOP has won the popular vote once since 1988. The GOP has also not had a significant margin in the electoral college since 1988. This idea that the public is salivating for a milquetoast Republican is unsupported conjecture.

There’s a lot of real estate between the public salivating for a republican and a republican being able to beat this shitty democrat ticket because they’re not as polarizing as our current nominee.

Almost half the country is baked in for the Democrats before a vote is cast. Winning in this climate requires walking an electoral map tight rope.

Republicans will have no one to blame but themselves. After the failed McCain and Mitt campaigns, followed by what appears to be a GOP that is 1/2 in Trump's corner, 1/2 in the GOPe corner...

I think we're pretty much there now. But this is apparently what America wants now.

No one is asking for that. We're asking for more accomplished conservatives with good message discipline, like Rand Paul and Ron DeSantis.

This is false. In 2016 and 2020 there were between 5-6 million people who voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Trump. Those people are not natural allies of the Democratic coalition. They're registered Republicans and Independents who typically vote Republican, who live in the suburbs. They just hate Trump, which is why Trump underperformed several Republicans in the majority of suburban counties in both 2016 and 2020, including in states he won. The GOP can still win the Popular Vote, they just need a good candidate who doesn't alienate voters.

Several Republicans who ran in 2016 would've won the Popular Vote, and won additional states like NV, NH, and possible Colorado. Heck, John Kasich and Marco Rubio, two total bores, were destroying Hillary by 7 and 4 points on average, respectively. Several of the Republicans who ran in 2016 would've won re-election in 2020 against dementia Joe.

On what planet are Rand Paul and Ron DeSantis milquetoast? They're 10x more conservative than Trump is, they just don't constantly say and do stupid shite that turns people off.
