But worked with democrats the last two years, what’s that exactly say about conservatives and conservatism?

It says that massie isn’t the conservative stalwart he thinks he is. There aren’t many true conservatives left. There are socialist communists, naive leftists, rhinos, republican-lite, and maybe 3-4 in all of congress who are true conservatives. Working with the democrats doesn’t make you conservative because you go against maga on niche subjects.

He’s an idiot and should have been voted out. He lost because he doesn’t have the support of his constituents.

He’s not a conservative. Argument is null. That’s like saying what if Kumalotta Harris was a republican.

It says the same as Republican congressmen refusing to let Trump appoint people in recess. It means that they are an organized group against Americans and their will.

They are a group who can't give us answers to Epstein, ufos, or anything meaningful because they abdicate their power to presidential decrees and refuse legislation on important matters.

This really feels like Rome before Caesar crossed the Rubicon.

Massie is a mess and the best friend Democrats had across the aisle. Glad he’s not going to be there much longer.

And he was friendly with Dems not to be the conduit who is able to bridge the gap between Repub and Dem caucuses to actually get things done, but rather only to obstruct Donald Trump. His legacy is going to be quite unfortunate.

Obsessing this hard over a man that is out of your life is very unlady-like behavior. Your mother should have taught you better.

How did he obstruct Trump? People say this, but I can't think of any Trump-backed legislation that Massie’s vote stopped.

Do you have any examples?

Is this forum always this vitriolic against fellow party members?

Seems to be counter productive to keeping the Dems from winning.

His voting record would indicate that this entire thread is based on a false emotional premise

They follow Trump's lead. Everything is Roy Cohn with our President. Obviously, it worked: Trump got elected president at least two times.

I was looking for the Truth Social where Trump told those of us who were for the release of the Epstein Files that he no longer wanted our support.

I was surprised to see Trump had removed it. Maybe it was a bad look after he was forced to endorse and sign Massie’s bill into law:

[quote]It was posted July 16, 2025 at 9:43 a.m. EDT. The post has since been removed from Truth Social, but the URL and status ID are preserved in an independent archive.

The relevant language is:
“my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshite,’ hook, line, and sinker.”
and:
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work … because I don’t want their support anymore!”
