Those issues may be huge for you, but he might rank them lower. It’s not that complicated to understand.
If you think about it, this makes his claim of being pro-life and pro 2nd amendment even more suspect. The federal government wields far more power over those issues than state government. What's the point in being pro life at the state level when you're voting for a pro-abortion candidate for the presidency that will appoint judges to strike down your state law?

Came here to make a similar argument, but well said.

Maybe because he is not a one or two issue voter? Maybe he weighs the issues and casts his lot with the party he feels more comfortable with? Who knows.

What pro-gun actions has JBE taken during his tenure as governor?

Maybe he's not a one issue voter?
I've never voted for a candidate I fall in line with on everything. Obviously a real answer isn't wanted because this is way too easy of a question.

So, what you are saying is that his support for the 2nd amendment and against abortion are only personal views and aren't a part of his political platform?

As far as his support for national candidates who are anti-gun and Pro-choice, he might just not prioritize those issues over other issues he has a Democrat view on.
If he didn't prioritize them then why did he pass a anti abortion bill? Louisiana is hemorrhaging jobs and skilled people to the point we may lose another electoral vote yet passed an anti abortion bill?
Here's the deal on JBE. Like most politicians he is about keeping the gravy train going. If a restrictive national gun bill was passed by his party, you can count on him supporting it. All he is doing is so far is placate a subset of social conservatives and his tax and spend supports his base in am attempt to keep just enough voters to stay in power.

I’m guessing Edwards would rather be a big dog in an immoral, corrupt organization (La. Democrat Party) than just a dog in the Republican Party, and that’s why he’s a Democrat.
It’s about political power in Louisiana.
It’s about political power in Louisiana.

Then why does he support national candidates like Hillary who are the exact opposite on those issues?
To get money to run for office

Naw bruh....his family helped create that corrupt organization.

Right and his family has had it for half a decade.

This is one of the reasons I refuse to vote for him. I like his PERSONAL stances on those issues- but I just can't tolerate those political ties to those people. The fact that he stands with them cancels everything out.

According to you, maybe. Destroying the Second Amendment is a pretty f**king big "single issue", Jack.
It would lead us down a path I don't wish to travel.

He questions Rispone for backing Jindal for president, but on the other hand he campaigned, raised money and voted for Hillary Clinton.
He shouldn’t be bringing up failed presidential candidates.
