I actually think in this instance in the hypothetical OP in which he is arrested and jailed, that they would try to claim that he is a flight risk and therefore should deny his bail. They would 100% justify it to the public as something like "he's best buddies with Putin and has property in Russia, there's no doubt Trump would flee to a friendly dictator that opposes America that would never agree to hand him over!"
I don't think he'll ever see a minute of jail time, but IF the OP were to come true then they will 100% deny him bail based on some BS like the above
