This is dumb. Whether or not it’s a hoax, the panic from the general public is fricking real. Panic leads to chaos. Today there is a shite paper shortage, but what happens when people turn their panic towards the gas pumps or banks? What do you think happens when millions of people start pulling their cash out of banks? They aren’t just focused on fighting the spread of the virus hence the state of emergency

Not just that. The assertion by many here is that the Dems are loving the catastrophe and want more death.
I've recently been reading about Marxist writers in the US and Europe in the late 19th century. They wanted Utopia through an all powerful centralized federal govt. But they didn't think the US would ever go for a revolution with massive death.
The writers were convinced that it would require a disaster and then people would willingly give up that old fashioned Constitution and let the govt assume dictatorial power.
FDR was a fan of these books and appointed advisors of like mind. When the Great Depression hit, he seized the opportunity. The New Deal was a huge power grab by central planners.
It's happening now with the Dems. Imagine what laws they would be passing right now (to save the nation) if Hillary had won in 2016.

Almost every single major news organization has drafted at least one article on “how to build your own bug out bag” or “how to become a doomsday prepper”.
This is an unprecedented response by an entire industry to scare the living shite out of people for views and clicks and political points.

The panic is a media-created hoax. The emergency declaration is largely driven because of the effects of the panic.
If you can't make that connection (which is what Trump said at the beginning when he banned travel from China), then I don't think you can be reasoned with.
