What about it? China is nowhere near ready to take on the US and its Pacific allies plus NATO. They have no ability to project power outside the SCS.

Nah. Putin is fricked. Russians were tired of his shite economy already. Now their money is worthless, their stock market will crash, and their witnessing of the ineptitude of military leadership spells the end for Putin.

Russia will be a shite show for decades.

Well, if Putin and I'm really screwed, and the people are going to yank me from office ... or a disgruntled oligarch ...I don't go out like Mussolini.

Hung up in red square.

Nope. I lob a Satan II at D.C.

So let's hope he ain't finished

I'm afraid he's going to start lobbing nukes if he's backed in a corner.

Hell, let's take away from them what they lost in WWI only to have it given back by the Treaty of Versailles. He doesn't really want to go back to that?

How much land does Russia need? Develop what they have and they'd be rich.

think the original aim was to clip off the Russian majority eastern provinces.

Putin went full cock gobbler and wasn’t satisfied for the eastern provinces. He is now gagging in his miscalculation thinking he could take the whole thing.

This isnt 1984 where the CCCP has over 3.1 million in it's active military.

Russia has about 1/4 of its entire military bogged down in Ukraine. Any long term occupation will require the other 3/4s to provide replacements/rotations.

This is a laughable allegory. Doing nothing but support currently and seeing how it plays out is a vastly superior option to becoming directly involved and risking it all.

The first is a potential.
The second is a guarantee.
